Hi, I am looking for some moms who would like to get together and let the kids play. My son is 1 and I would love to find some playmates for him! And I know other mom's like myself would love to find other mom's in the same situation! Staying at home all the time can be trying!!

What can I do next?

Someone just started a new group at Meetup.com - Moms in Okinawa. Here is the website: http://parents.meetup.com/618/. We are having a meet and greet today (Tuesday, Feb 12) actually at Kenney Park at 10:30, and then eating at Burger King after that.

My 3 yr old is starting school soon so if you would like to get our boys together sometime that would be great. We live on Camp Foster. There are lots of options for playgroups, my church hosts one twice a month, and there are a variety offered through each base (usually through the community center or if you're army through ACS including a group for ESL to practice their English) and we're a part of a playgroup called Kinyoubi Kids, we meet every friday at different locations:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KinyobiKids/

April 4th - Dolphin Park
April 11th - Araha Beach/Pirate ship park
April 14th - Okinawa City Athletic Field
April 25th - Manta Park

As usual, we meet at 10am and please bring something to share for our potluck lunch. In case of rain, an alternate location will be announced by 8:30am that morning.

Another great source are yahoo groups. I know I am part of a playgroup there too and Sign up for Cafe Mom. It is the best. I love it. Please feel free to email or anything too. I could always use another good friend :) You can never have to many of those :) Have a good one. Bye -
