Our two year old son is in need of speech therapy. He had a lot of ear infections as a baby which has delayed him a little. Can you recommend anyone that is great? THank you!

Since your son is under three he may qualify for AzEIP which is Arizona Early Intervention Program which is free for children under 3 with delays in any area of development. They will come and evaluate your son and see if he qualifies and then they will help you to find services such as speech therapy for free. Some therapists will even come to your home. The phone number is ###-###-####, toll free in Arizona (888) 439-5609.

When my daughter was in preschool, the teacher suggested I get an early childhood screening at the local school. Call the school district office in your area and they can tell you when the next one will be, which school it will be held at, etc. We would go to the elementary school 2 or 3 times a week for free speech therapy, and continued there with the same therapist until she was in 3rd grade. It's a great resource many people don't know about. I was luck enough to have an alert and informed preschool teacher. Good luck !

Yes, go through the public school that is near you. That is what I did with my son. I do not pay a thing it is free.

Hi,
My son is going to Cholla Sunkids Preschool. He is getting speech therapy there.
Whatever school district you live in, go to your "home" elementary school and ask if they have a program.
Also check with you pediatrician. We have Cigna and, they have a developmentalist on staff who evaluated our son and then recommended the therapy.
Because its through the school system and he needs the therapy, we don't have to pay for it.
If you have any other questions, shoot me an email. My son didn't even say MaMa for over a year and now, he never stops!
