Have you tried Craigslist for the used playhouse? If you don't know what it is, go to Chicago.craigslist.com/bab
Hi,
I have been looking to buy a used playhouse and a new sandbox for my kids but have had no luck finding them in stores anywhere (sandbox). I tried online but the shipping for Target cost $25 more than the sandbox itself. Any suggestions as to where to look???

Kmart has a small turtle sandbox for $25. Otherwise, Toys R Us has them, along with the sand and water tables (they are a little pricy though)
I saw the sandsboxes at the Walmart store in my area. If they don't have it then you may be able to get it online and have it shipped to your local walmart through Site to store which is free. Hope this is helpful.
I am not sure where you live, but we went to the Toys R Us on North Avenue in Melrose Park to get our daughter a Step 2 Slide and I am sure that they had sandboxes as well. They also had a lot of the playhouses set up in the store. My daughter had a ball with them and you could see what your daughters like best.
Good Luck,
D.
Try OneStepAhead.com - they carry all kinds of stuff like that. And I think they're even running a shipping special right now - check it out! : )
If you really want used, I'd say try craigslist.com. But Walmart has a whole line of Little Tikes stuff including a sandbox. That's where we got my kids' stuff from! Happy Hunting!

HI S., my husband and I live in Chicago, on the south side, in the Beverly area. We have a pink play house that your daughters might enjoy. I don't know where you live exactly or what other responses you might get but I'd be happy to take a picture of it and e-mail it to you and you can tell me if it's what you're looking for. We could figure something out to get it to you. It's not very large and could be perfect for a smaller backyard.

Home Depot sells a Sand and water table for $75 that you can pick up at the store. My neighbor has one and our girls love it. They play with the sand but not in it. It is made by Step 2.
I'm sure Toys R Us would have them, there is one on Western.
