merrells, danskos, also it may be worth seeing a doctor.
I have some on and off heel pain that can get pretty awful if I go barefoot or wear flip flops. I've been wearing my tennis shoes all summer, and my feet are too hot!
Does anyone out there have heel pain? Have you found sandals that work for you?
I also have a high arch and a strong aversion to Keen and Teva!!
Thanks!

i have had heel pain and it's not fun. when i went to the foot dr he told me that before i get out of bed in the morning instead of pointing my toes to stretch that i should try to point my toes toward my shin. that stretches the heel and help heel pain. and i do that every morning before getting out of bed and haven't had any pain!!!
I love Born sandals. I have to ask.....why the aversion to Keen and Teva? I am considering a couple pairs from each of those brands and want to know if I need to watch out for anything.
Good luck in your shoe search!
I bought these and found them extremely comfortable. They're light and airy and cheap! It's hard for me to wear shoes right out of the box, especially without socks, but these were comfortable from the minute I put them on. They're my new favorite shoes.
And, lands end has free returns if you take them to a sears so you don't have to pay to ship them back if they don't work.

I used to work for a group of podiatrists. They all swore by Birkenstock sandals.
Schuler Shoes has a great selection of comfortable shoes--some are definitely older lady styles, but they have a great selection of Borns, J41s, Merrills, Birks, Chaccos ect. Give them a try-I love my Borns and J 41s (and I get a ton of compliments on them...)
