I too am a SAHM with a husband who works long hours. I wanted to respond to you because I have 2 girls who are also 4 and 2. I am always looking for friends for them. They both go to school in the morning but we are free most afternoons. The only negative may be that you live too far from us. We live in Clearwater. I teach a class called StrollerFit here in St. Pete. It is a great way to get out of the house and meet new moms - and the kids have a great time as well. StrollerFit is a 50 minute workout including strength and cardio, great for moms of all fitness levels. We include the kids throughout the workout with songs and games. I am home with a 4 year old...We go to the gym in the mornings, but we could get together around 11ish. I have to pick up the older kids from school around 2. I know that I am too far in CLearwater, but I wanted to let you know that one AWESOME way to get to know LOTS of other moms with kids of similar age is to join a MOMS Club group for your area. You can go directly to the MOMS Club website and search for your group by zipcode. There are usually scheduled playdates and meet-ups every week for your age group at local parks, play places, moms homes, etc as well as frequent multi-age meetings, moms night out, picnics, holiday parties, etc You get the option of attending any/all of the events whenever it is convenient for you. You get to meet lots of other moms and will likely find some that you enjoy getting together more than the once a week with the MOMS Club event. It gives you a wonderful chance to get out, talk to other moms about anything and get parenting support!

I also meet moms at the open gym times at Future Flipz, Apollo Gymnastics, and LaFleurs....all excellent places for kids to play while moms socialize. Also Michaels has kids crafts every Saturday am where lots of parents bring kids. Local parks and trails have events weekly or monthly such as Weedon Island, Heritage Village, Boyd Hill, Moccasin Lake for young ones.
