I am a mother of 2 and I have had back pain since my pregnany's i have tried a chiropracor, pain management where they inject number in your back, Physical therapy, and acupressure, and I am going to start acupuncture for the pain. I need to figure out what this is, I am young and have never had a problem in my life with my back and it so hard to live in pain raising a 2 year old and a threee month old. My family DR suggested a ruematologist to see if it might be arthritis. I went to one for my first visit and I wasn't happy with her bedside manner. I am going to try again because maybe she was having a bad day and the bloodwork is already ordered. Does anyone know of a good one? Or suggestions that I can try to get to the bottom of this pain. I need temporary solutions for pain and a long term answer to fix what ever is wrong. (My MRI's are coming up normal.)

What can I do next?

my doctor is dr. barry waters in coral springs. I have been seeing him for 17 years. His manner may take getting used to( or maybe just because I was a teen when I first met him:0-) He is a little dry, but a very good doctor. He is in the offices right next to coral springs hospital

Hi E.,
My brother injured his back, just by leaning over then trying to stand up. After a week of dealing with so much pain that he couldn't get out of bed, he started on some meds. Now, he's going to a rolfing doctor who's really helping him. I found this video that explains rolfing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3H_YkCJT64

The doctor explained to him that his muscles were very tight, so it didn't take much to throw out his back. He thinks it's the sacrum - the very center of the lower back. The pelvis attaches to it.

After 2 sessions, he's now able to float in the pool, which is good therapy and he's able to walk without much pain.

If you're interested in alternative medicine, this may be worth a try.

I have arthritis and control it with Joint Health Complex (Glucosamine and cat's claw) to help build cartilage and promote flexibility. And I take Pain Relief Complex for the days that I do too much. They're both Shaklee products available here: http://www.StarTeamUSA.net .

Good luck. I hope your back problem is temporary and you're feeling better soon.

I'm B. W., MD, a Rheumatologist in Coral Springs, so I feel I'm qualified to answer your question. The Rheumatologists at both of the main groups in the Delray area are superb. For details or an appointment call ###-###-#### or ###-###-####‎. Both groups include female physicians if that's what you prefer. But here's the scoop. Rheumatologists specialize in a relatively uncommon type of back problem called inflammatory spondylitis. Seeing a Rheumatologist is a good first stop to rule out this serious condition. But most back pain is from disc degeneration and related issues and ultimately if the pain cannot be controlled by simple measures like Tylenol and exercise, the type of doctor the Rheumatologist will send you to is called a Pain Management Anesthesiologist. Make sure he/she is board certified in anesthesiology.

Hi E., my name is Ann Marie and I live in Coral Springs. I experienced back pain also after both my pregnancy's, not fun, especially when you have little ones to take care of. I believe it stems for all the stress and pressure for 9 months.
I have to tell you that 7 years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in my left knee, my right hand and my lower back. I suffered with the pain through years of physical therapy, knee & hand braces and lots of celebrex which will eat away at your kidney's over time. I am now pain free with no meds and no doctors and I owe it all to MonaVie. You should seriously try this juice I have been drinking it since August of 07'.
Contact me if you like and we can talk about what positive results that my huband and I both had from drinking this juice which is loaded with antioxidents. You can not only drink it, but you can have a home based business with it. I wish I had know about it sooner for my health and as a bonus plan, an income.
My e-mail address is ____@____.com and I have a website you can visit also if you are interested. You can also try www.1800chemist.com and see what Dr. Jay Foster has to say about arthritis. I know he has talk show on the radio and you can view past talk shows on line.
Let me know how you make out.
Ann Marie
