Seeking Reliable Childcare

Hey moms,
I know I've asked this question before but I haven't gotten any response. I'm trying again to see if anyone will help me.
In a couple of weeks I'll be returning to the workforce and I'll need reliable childcare service. I live in the cutler bay area and commute to the miller drive/north kendall drive area. I would like to know if any mother out there has used a child care service in these areas and if they would recommend this child care service.

I'm really dreading the going back because of this and would like to know how many of you dealt with the issue of going back to work. I am going back because if I do not I will loose my health benefits, my husband's work offers mediocre health insurance.

Please anyone help...

Thanks.

So What Happened?

Thanks for everyone's information. I found a childcare location for my 2 little ones. I'm still crying after I let them off. I guess that's how it will be for a little while longer.

Good Morning B.,

Have you ever considered a live-in au pair? I am the Area Director with AuPairCare for Broward and Dade County. I also live in Cooper City. AuPairCare provides international au pairs between the ages of 18-26. Our au pairs are affordable and flexible, educated, experienced, speak English and have a passion to provide childcare for your family.

http://aupaircare.com/

Look us up on the web and you will see that your kids will have a world of opportunity. Right now our application fee is waived so you can save $350 at no obligation. Completing the application and a host family interview will give you access to our pool of au pairs. You can see what qualified au pairs we have that are ready to give you an extra set of helping hands.

Why choose AuPairCare? All of our au pairs are highly qualified young adults who love children and are eager to experience life in the United States. Your au pair becomes a vital member of your family. You will have a peace-of-mine knowing that all our au pairs complete a rigorous application process, extensive background check, in person interview by our staff. Your children will experience the au pairs language, food and traditions. AuPairCare is surprisingly affordable. Your children will benefit from personalized attention in the familiar surroundings of their own home. The price is the same regardless of the number of children.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi B. - I'm sorry, I don't live in your area so I can't make any specific recommendations. The link above is for Miami/Dade County's Child Care Resource and Referral service. This is state sponsored, but is only a listing of what is available. You can also use the state DCF's liscencing site to search providers. When you look at an individual provider it also shows their inspection records, so you can see if there have been any major reported problems. http://dcfsanswrite.state.fl.us/Childcare/provider/
Best of luck to you.

this is an amazing school!

they take toddlers, but not younger, BUT
I bet if you visit them and take a look at their school you can then ask them what daycares have 'fed' into their schools/ie: what daycares have parents of current students been happy with

B.,
you could try looking under www.myflorida.com/childcare. Click on provider, your county, and enter the zip. All the providers listed are state licensed.
Good luck

Hi B.. Have you considered an Au Pair? It is a wonderful cultural exchange program for your family. The program offers families flexible, affordable, live-in childcare with a unique international perspective. For an average of $330/week (per family, not per child), your au pair provides 45 hours of flexible childcare and lives with you as a member of your family. Your children benefit from a one-to-one committed and caring companion, and you can customize your childcare coverage according to your own schedule.

Take advantage of our Florida regional discount and save $700. Match with an au pair for free!!

I have served as a Local Coordinator since 2008 and I look forward to welcoming more families into my group. I can be contacted at 407/282-5632 or ____@____.com.

Cultural Care is the winner of IAPA’s 2008 and 2009 Au Pair of the Year Award!
