My husband is an attorney (in a different area) and refers to an divorce attorney on his floor. They are located at
205 W. Monroe, 4th floor in the loop (corner of Monroe and Wells). You may call my husband at ###-###-#### to get their number (I'm sorry I do not know it off hand) he just left for his office. Tell him you heard from here, he'll know what you are talking about, he has referred a few mama's from here.

I hope you will find a good one. I am an attorney and work part time. My boss does divorce and he is been around long time, he's a fierce "fighter." We're located across the Daley Center, downtown. the number is ###-###-####, ask for Mr. Dranias, recommened by M.-Ann. At least you have lots of responses and can find out fees and how you feel about the attorney. (When my husband sometimes threatens me with divorce, I tell him, don't you think I know the law...) So since you husband is an attorney, you should definitely get a really really good one for yourself. although since he wants to mediate, that can be a good sign, maybe you can still work things out, unless of course it's pointless. What kind of law does he practice?????

Try Alyssa Mogul at Grund & Leavitt. I don't know how expensive she is, but she will fight for you like you wouldn't believe.
And she is a great attorney!

The reason former Judge Shields is "retired" is because she was a documented corrupt judge. She can no longer harm anymore children.
Check out courthouse forum under: Retaliation for exposing judicial corruption: three moms on terrorist list

Former Judge Shields was exposed for being corrupt (i.e., extortion under the color of law, fraud, fraud upon the court, and bribery)in a panic she placed three MOMMY's on a statewide terrorist list to cover up her illegal activities. T.,
Be careful about a husband who is an attorney who wants a mediator. He knows all of the laws and you need an advocate that knows just a much. All of my friends (I am in my 50's) were financially taken advantage of in divorce. Good luck. A.
