There is always such great advice in this forum that I was hoping I can get some help.
I moved to the peninsula 6 months ago and kept taking my daughter to her pediatrician in the city. He is great but his office personnel is awful. The distance is also making things much harder so I wanted to see if any of you have recommendations for a very loving Pediatrician (preferably in the Belmont/San Carlos/San Mateo/Redwood City/Foster City area).

I really love my son's pediatrician. Her name is Nathalie Lynch and she's part of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Redwood City. She's really friendly, answers all of our questions and is very caring with our son. Whenever we've had to see a different doctor b/c of last minute illnesses, I've liked every single doctor we've seen. Sometimes these other doctors are in Redwood Shores or in Palo Alto, but they've all been really nice.
My kids (1 boy and 2 girls ages 3-10) see Dr. Rosenbaum at Bay Area Pediatrics in San Mateo. He is very nice and knowledgable. We have met all the providers there at some point and they are all very good. As Diana mentioned the evening and weekend hours are useful. They have offices in ?San Carlos and near Seton as well (different doctors staffing those offices).
Depends what you are looking for in a pediatrician. I love my pediatrician. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives you great confidence in his abilities. Many of the parents of the kids in his practice are doctors (as am I). However, he is not a touchy-feely, sit and comfort you kind of doctor. If that is what you are looking for, I am sure you will get plenty of those recommendations. My kids have always been seen at Bay Area pediatrics in San Mateo. Over the years I think we have seen all the physicians & Nurse Practitioner (I have four kids ages 10 to 19). I like them all & feel comfortable with their judgements. This practice also has a lot of evening & weekend hours so kids can be seen when they get sick. Have you noticed kids rarely have issues Monday through Friday 9 to 5? My boys go to Dr Ferrara and my daughter to Dr Suwabe. Phone ###-###-####
