Seeking Quality Plano Preschool for My 4 Year Old

Hi Moms,
I have recently quit my job to stay home with my children. My four-year old daughter has been in a great preschool, but it was a full time program, with "full time" tuition. I am looking for a new preschool that isn't just daycare - a place where she will actually learn something while at the same time be in a loving environment. Since I am staying home, I would like the flexibility of a part-time program. She loves school and I believe she benefits from the experience.

Does anyone have any great experiences they would like to share?

What can I do next?

I am going back to work in a week and have been absolutely frustrated with my childcare search. I looked at EVERY MDO and preschool within a 10 mile radius and was on the verge of a breakdown b/c I couldn't find one that was acceptable and within our budget. Messiah's Lambs was referred to me by a friend that put her 2 kids in there so I called for info, visited the facility and signed my kiddos (2 yr old full time and 6 yr old for summer) up all in the same day b/c I just knew it was a great place after all my searching.

I was impressed by the facility, the kid to teacher ratio, and the options you have for care (pick your days- from 1 to full time), and on top of that the reasonable cost. Most teachers are degreed professionals, too. AND there wasn't a year long wait list!

Hope this helps. Good luck.

My three year old attends Messiahs Lambs in Plano off of Plano Pkwy just west of central Expwy, and I LOVE IT!! You only pay for the days that you want to take your child, so it is really inexpensive compared to other places. The teachers there are so wonderful, and my daughter has learned alot, and loves it. She goes three days a week, and is going to their Camp Colorful during the summer. Their regular hours are 9-2, but you can drop off or pick up and hour earlier or later for extra. They are a Lutheran school, but we are baptist. They teach lessons from the bible, and I love that my daughter is getting a Christian education, and having alot of fun at the same time! You should definetly check it out!!

Messiah Lambs at Plano Pkwy and Westridge is excellent. My five-year-old went there from the time she was 13 months and I have a two-year-old in the MDO program now. The tuition is reasonable and the core hours are 9-2 but they allow early drop off at 8 and late pick up at 3.

My daughter was very prepared for kindergarten this year thanks to their preschool program.

My son used to go there (3 and 4). I don't know where in Plano you live, it might not be close to you. It's on Renner at the corner of Jupiter. In Richardson, on the limits of East Plano. Great preschool, loving teachers in a church.
