I am moving to the area and am looking for a preschool for my daughter. She has attended a home daycare and is very social and creative. She is almost 4 1/2. She is completely potty trained and very verbal. I want something to help her get ready for kindergarten as well as cultivate her interests.
We just moved from Springfield to Paoli.
St. Matthew's preschool at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church on Bennett and Lynbrooke in Springfield is very good. The director there, Sandi Thomas, is excellent.
I don't know where you will be working but in Havertown there is another great preschool- St. Faith. It also has a wonderful kindergarten that is full day.

I really like Manoa Nursery School at the Manoa Presbyterian Church on Eagle Road in Havertown. My son went there for 3 years and my daughter will be starting in September. The teachers are wonderful.

I'm in the area as well, and love my son's preschool. He's about the same age as your daughter and attended Holy Trinity in Wallingford for 3 days/week last year. The school is terrific. Another school you hear great things about is Swarthmore Presbyterian which is 5 days/week only. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

My boys go to Lane Montessori in Marple. Its at the St. Marks Church across from Russell Elementary (I think). My oldest son just thrived there (he's going to 1st grade) and my youngest starts in Sept. Its a little more expensive than other preschools, but I really think its worth it!

I have 4 children (4 - 15) and all have gone and loved Newtown Square Presbyterian Church Nursery School. It's right on Rt. 252 and Goshen Road in Newtown Square. Very friendly and experienced staff, and reasonable too!
