My husband and I just starting touring preschools for my son, who is now 27 months old. I am a stay-at-home mom, but I want to put him in "school" a couple of hours/days a week for the socialization and education. Today we toured a small montesorri school in Burbank and also the YMCA. Both seemed great, but I am eager to hear about schools you love. Thanks, Mamas.

I am not sure of where they are in your areas. But I HIGHLY recommend a Montessori. Loved Loved their concept. More daughter just blossomed and learned so much in 3 months than she did in whole year at Tutor Time.

My son has been going to the BHC/Knowledge Beginnings center (they switched the name recently so this might not be exactly correct) since he was an infant and we absolutely love it. He is now almost three and in early preschool. He has truly thrived there. There is a long waiting list, but they have two locations in Burbank, so that ups your chances. Here is the number ###-###-####.

Good luck.

My friends, who live in Burbank, sent their daughter and now their son to the Montessori in Glendale (on Pacific) They've been very happy. Their daughter, almost 10 now, is in another charter school and has always been way ahead of the curve. Their son is 4 now and loves that preschool.

Hello J.,
I wanted to reply to your ad for preschool. I am a provider for a Family in home Child Care, but I offer a full educational curriculum for preschool aged kids. My full time assistant is a preschool teacher.
This week, for example, we are learning about the Solar System, and we provide educational learning activities around that theme.
As we do have infants/toddlers, most of our kids are preschool aged kids. We also offer, hot heathly meals (included), team play, circle time, arts and crafts, and a computer lab.
We are approx 10 miles from Burbank in Mission Hills, and I do have clients that commute here from Burbank.
If this sounds like something that you would be interested in looking into, please feel free to give me a call and I can schedule you for a tour.
Lastly, our rates are very affordable, at $130/week for full time and $65.00/week for part time (22.5 hours or less).
Thank you,
N.
