Does anyone know of a pre-school in San Ramon area? My husbands new boss just moved here from Las Vegas and needs a pre-school for her four year old. She lives off Bollinger Canyon passed club sport in the new homes off bollinger.Thanks.

I live in Dublin and will be taking my daughter to Fountainhead Montessori. My sister and I actually attended it as well so she will be a second generation preschooler. I couldnt have better things to say about how wonderful they are. They have 5 different locations, the closest being Dublin or San Ramon. Here is their website so you can check it out http://www.fountainheadmontessori.org

Hi L.,
I live in Dublin, which is just south of San Ramon and I take my children to a wonderful preschool in Danville. Danville is just North of San Ramon. It is called Starlight School and it is a Montessori school. The number is ###-###-#### and the website is http://www.starlightschool.com/default.htm
You can call them and make arrangements for a viewing. Good Luck.

There are some great preschools in SR but some are costly.
Acorn learning center on Crow Canyon toward Blackhawk is a good school with a caring staff, and good schedule. Strafford on Camino Tassajara is an academic based, structured program that kids really enjoy. We did their summer program, and my son loved it.

If these are too costly, consider going to Dublin to Ressurection Lutheran Child Development Program (next to their church). A little farther, but it is a parent participation school(you don't have to participate), so the cost is way down and it's an excellent program. My son has thrived with the loving, structured environment.

There is also a new Acorn Learning center on Dougherty near where their new residence will be.

Great luck to you!!

Hi, there are a lot of really great preschools in the area. I will tell you I have heard negative things about Acorn in Windemere and on Crow Canyon. I know of 2 different people that have gone there and have not been happy.

My daughter went to Community Presbyterian Preschool in Danville and we LOVED it! Super loving and caring environment.

Here is a really great resource with a lot of information for this area: http://www.eastbaypreschools.com/

Little Bridges Pre-school is a great pre-school. It is located off of Bollinger across from Bridges Golf Course. Because it is such a great program it is very hard to get in. I would try though, you never know. Also, since the child is 4 they will soon need after school care and Little Bridges has the BEST after school program as well. www.littlebridges.org.

I have heard great things about Acorn Learning Center in San Ramon. There is a location on Crow Canyon and one on Bollinger Canyon (in Windermere, a little bit past Gale Ranch). Hope this helps.

We love John Knox Coop Preschool in West Dublin. My daughter was there two years and I never heard one complaint, just praise, for the school, teachers, and director. It's a coop, so she would get to be there once in awhile. The number is ###-###-####.
