I am hoping for some good recommendations as to where to send my 3 year old son for preschool. We live in Lockport on the Lemont side of the town.

What can I do next?

My sister-in-law sent all three of her daughters to Shepherd of The Hill preschool (it's based out of a ?Lutheran church) and had nothing but good things to say about it. It may be a bit far from where you are (on 9th Street near 7th) but worth a look. Good luck!

I have used Happy Hands Methodist Preschool in Lemont for my daughter, and my son will start next month. It is housed in the First United Methodist Church on Custer Street. Great staff and great program...but registration was in March and I do not know if there are any spots left. It is worth calling to find out.
Good luck!

MY 2 YRS OLD DAUGHTER HAS BEEN GOING TO MARY SEARS IN LEMONT (129TH & MAIN) SINCE SHE WAS 3 MOS OLD. RATES SEEM TO BE IN ORDER WITH OTHERS AND THEY ARE AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL. I LOOKED AROUND BEFORE I CHOSE THIS SCHOOL, BUT HAVE VERY MINOR PROBLEMS WHEN REGULAR TEACHERS ARE NOT AT THE HELM OF THE CLASS (MATERNITY LEAVE & SUCH). THEY OFFER PART TIME & FULL TIME. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH!

unfortunately there are not a lot of choices for a preschool that are not "day cares". i found a church on division and farrell with 3-4 yr.old preschool programs and they are not very expensive either. the phone number is ###-###-####. they offer a few extras that other places don't my daughter will be attending this year, and my son next. they start 9/30 good luck

I am in the same boat. Looking for preschool for my 3 year old daughter. I have been doing some research. St. Joes (Catholic) on Madision has a great pre-school, but I really fell in love with Butterfly Garden Learning Center. I am going out to walk through again. School starts 9/5. There rates are about average. They don't have morning slots left. But they have an awesome curriculum. www.butterflygardenlearningcenter.com
