I'd love to get together with some other mommies to meet some new friends for me and my children. We've just recently moved to the area and don't know anyone. We like to go play at the local parks, the play center at North East Mall and at Chick-Fil-A but wouldn't mind also getting together as families for dinners or weekend outings.

Wow, I'm out of the loop. I've lived in NRH for over 2 years and never knew there was a play center at the North East Mall, though I've been there countless times. I have a 4 yr old daughter, Lexi, who also has no one her age from our neighborhood to play with. It's hard for me to get her out and socialize because my husband works 3rd shift, and I go to school during the day (6 days a week this semester), my mom watches her during the day. I would love to try to join everyone in the area for a playgroup.
One place we do frequent, there is a dog park, and a playground off of Davis Blvd, close to Davis/Starnes intersection. My stepdad tries to take my daughter there every Saturday for their special time together, sometimes with the dogs to the dog park, and sometimes just to the playground. Also there is a nice playground across the street from Smithfield Elem. on Starnes Rd. Just some ideas, although I love Chik-Fil-A and McD's too.
Hi A.. We just moved to Texas in July. I have two boys who are almost 6 and 3. I do in-home daycare so I can only do play groups in the evening but we try to meet at McDonalds or Chick-Fil-A at least once a week. My youngest son doesn't have any friends his age yet. Hi A., I live in North Richland Hills and have a 4 year old son Dominic. If you would like to get together some time and let the kids play. There is a great place for children called the ClubHouse for Kids in Bedford. Also some women and I are starting a group called Mothers who are still Women, if you would be interested in adult time with other moms, there is also going to be a book club and maybe monthly card games to just relax.
