I would like to find a playgroup in our around mission for my 3 year old son. If you could help we would be greatful.
I just wanted to say thank you and let every one know that I will be taking my son to sylvester powell community center. We allredy go to the park on 53rd. and woodson when the wather lets us. We like to go after lunch beacuse it is rigth behiend my doughters school so we can walk over and get her.He loves that park but would like to have some one to play with.If any one would like to have a play date some day give us a call at ###-###-#### thanks agin C. and lewis

We are in OP but on the north side just two blocks from Mission. We'd love to meet up and play with you guys sometime! I have two girls 1 and 3. We like Wonderscope, Woodson Park and Sylvester J. Powell Community Ctr.
Welcome to Mission. My daughter is too old for your kids but I might mention that the Sylveter Powell Community Center on Martway has an indoor playground times for kids 0-6. You might want to check into that. Also, the park at 53rd and Woodson is a good one. There are usually lots of kids playing there. I have a similar problem here myself, there aren't that many kids in the neighborhoods :( Good Luck!
I just signed on to Mamasource because I have been looking for a playgroup as well. The other ideas that the ladies have left seem great. I am eager to try them out. My son (he's almost 15 months) and I have gone to Wonderscope months ago, he liked it, but would like it even more now. If you find anyone for a group I would love to join as well!

There is a midtown playgroup that meets every Monday, Wed., & Friday at the Westport-Roanoke Community Center from 10-12. They ask $1 per kid to help cover the cost of the building. It's for children age 1-5 and there parents. We go there & Mason loves it.
