Hi there,
I have a great pediatrician. I've mostly seen Dr. Clark and Dr. Tarnowski, but all of the doctors in the practice are wonderful. The office is at Clark and Oak ###-###-####)
Can anyone recommend a pediatrican on the Chicago Lake View Area. A close friend of mine is looking for one for her new baby boy. Thank you.
Thanks everyone for your help. My friend is setting up all her consulatation visits.

I've been using Lakeview Pediatrics since my son was born 2 years ago. Their number is ###-###-####. We LOVE them. They are wonderful with my little guy and I love their approach - very into natural remedies, using medicine only when absolutely necessary. They have also been really great when I've needed advice through his different stages. As a first-time mom, I've called them a bunch of times. They are always willing to call me back and talk to me at length with great advice.
Also I agree with Bth L.'s assessment of the doctors - I totally agree, and have seen each of them too. I don't really prefer Dr. Salem for well visits because she is kind of rigid, but boy does she know her stuff when it comes to something serious. My son was born 5 weeks early and I felt he was in the very best hands under her care.
I love Lakeview Pediatrics on Belmont (just east of Ashland). There are five or six women pediatricians there and they are fantastic. They also return calls quickly at any time of day or night and are very helpful and encouraging. I have had several new mom "emergencies" that I was very concerned about that they helped me with over the phone, one at 3 a.m.
We, too, love Lakeview Pediatrics!
We also like Children's Healthcare Associates. We see Dr. Gosch.
Call Childrens Memorial Hospital they have a outpatient ped. division; the number is 1-800-KIDS DOC to set an new appt. Or go on website www.childrensmemorial.org
We love Dr Lyons at Children's Healthcare Associates at approx. Diversey/Sheffield. We've also seen Dr Gosch there and liked her. Beyond the great medical care, their office is very well run - you rarely have to wait beyond your appointment time and they have free parking right next to the building. Lastly I have a child with congenital heart disease and they have been excellent supporting him - seeing him for emergency appointments and coordinating with other specialists. I can't say enough good things about this practice!
I have used Town and Country Pediatrics in Chicago for 11 years. In fact, I now live in the suburbs and travel with my 4 kids to their offices because I don't want to switch pediatricians.
Children's Healthcare Associates are great. I especially like Dr. Kenneth Lyons and Dr. Deanna Monroe. They are affiliated with Norhtwestern. They are located at Sheffield/Diversy(Lincoln Park, I believe)
I don't have their number off hand but I believe it is ###-###-####...let me know if you need me to look this up more carefully!
I also take my infant son to Lakeview Pediatrics and am really happy with the care we have received. We primarily see Dr. Perlman. Not only is she incredibly bright but also her bedside manner with me and my son is wonderful. He did need to be hospitalized shortly after birth, and she checked in to see how my husband and I were doing as well. She is very calm and spends a lot of time with us. The nurses in the practice are also fantastic. They always call back with our questions and genuinely care about my son's health.
Lakeview Pediatrics on Belmont (Just east of the Belmont, Ashland, Lincoln intersection). My husband and I plan on going there when our baby arrives. We met with Dr. Salem, she is the owner of the practice (I believe there are 6 other pediatricians on staff) and really liked her and her position on topics that were important to us. They are also affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Good luck.
We really like Lakeview Pediatrics at Belmont and Ashland. There are 5 doctors there but Dr. Perlman, Ramachandran and Dr. Newport are our favorites. We have always been able to get an appointment for the same day and they are very good about taking time to answer all of your questions and are very proactive in ruling out potentially more complicated medical issues.
Overall, they are mostly on time but there have been times of delay. I trying to not worry too much about that because I know that there are spending more time with others answering their questions, which is what I really appreciate about their practice to begin with.

Good luck!
Lakeview Pediatrics (www.LakeviewPediatrics.net). We're taking our newborn there and the docs have been great - we see Dr. Perlman.
Another plug for Lakeview Peds. To be honest, we like all but Dr. Salem a bit less (she's more rigid). Dr. Chang, herself a parent (as are most), is SO understanding as she deals with the same things we all do. Drs. Perlman, Newport, and Ramadan ALL get our son to respond to them SO well.
We started going here b/c our friend and internist takes his children there. I consider it a good thing when another physician trusts a physician(s)- and have been happy for all 4 years thus far.
Dr. Carrie Gosch of Children's Healthcare Associates is wonderful. CHA is located at 2835 N. Sheffield in Chicago. There is a street-level parking lot next to the building. My daughter is now six, and has seen Dr. Gosch since birth. My only quibble is that the office is very busy. Dr. Gosch's schedule fills up far in advance, so we've had success with expected appointments, but not with last-minute ones. In those cases, my daughter has been seen by another doctor in the group. My satisfaction with other providers there has been mixed. The nurses have all been terrific, though.
