Does anybody know of a good pediatric dentist in the OKC area. I need to take my son to the dentist and he has never been before. I live in NW OKC, I don't mind driving a short way but I don't want it to be too far from my house. Thanks.

I take my daughter to Dr. Biggs. We are very pleased with him and his staff. He is at NW Expressway and Rockwell.
I live on the NW side too but our dentist is in MWC. It's Dentistry by Design Dr. Steven Kendrick. I take my 4 and 2 year old there and he is WONDERFUL with them. They have tv they can watch while in the chair and they explain things to them as they go. My 4 year old had 3 fillings and we never had a problem with him trying to get up crying or anything. All of his equipment is state of the art electronics and he doesn't use any stainless steel products only porcelin.
We take our son to Dr. Doan on N May . . wonderful dentist as she lets them watch a DVD while she does their exams and plays games during the exam. She just did a dental procedure on my son this morning as a matter of fact. . Very sweet and down to earth doc. Good luck!
J., I suggest Jason Lee on 56th and portland. I had to take my niece there after we had visited a different dentist and they wouldn't see her again since she wouldn't open her month. Here she had no reservation about it. When we left she (4 yrs old) said I like that man. So that is who we see now and I drive 23 miles just to see him for her.

My 3yr old has serious dental issues and I know where NOT to take him:
SMALL WORLD DENTISTRY (did root canal repair tied to a board)
and
OCEAN DENTAL (recommended 4 extractions, with only numbing gel)
I recommend Ryan Brackett, DDS in Yukon as a pediatric dental specialist.
We've been going to Dr. Barbara Chappell for over a decade. She is a family dentist and has an excellent chair-side manner and her staff is great. She was also a registered nurse before going to dental school, so she takes into consideration the "whole health" of her clients, in addition to their oral health.

I take my daughter, who is 3, to Dr. Bozalis. He's near Baptist and Deaconess Hospitals in OKC. They have a great waiting area and all of the staff are very friendly.
I used to work at MacArthur Dental on Britton and MacArthur. There is a husband and wife team there, both dentists. The wife, Dr. Dao, is amazing with kids. They see entire families there, but the kids love coming to her. I'll definitely take my kids to her when they're old enough. It may be a little less expensive seeing her since she is a general dentist and not a specialist, but it depends on your insurance I'm sure. Best of luck with whomever you go to!
