I need to find a pediatric dentist in the Reston/Herndon area. Actually, anywhere in the vicinity for a great dentist would be worth the trip. Any recommendations?
I LOVE my daughter's dentist. It is a small practice but the office is wonderful (very kid friendly). She is very patient and I can't believe how much my daughter looks forward to going to the dentist.

I recommend Va Dental Solutions ###-###-####, I have 2 girls (6 and 8) and they were really good with them. They have seen Dr. Kendra Novic and Dr. Sharma. My oldest had to have both baby teeth removed at 5yrs, and she did great, they walked her through every step. I was very pleased. Both look forward to their 6mo cleanings. They have an Ashburn and Reston location. I have been going to them for years myself. Goodluck.

I just took both of my children to Dr Skordalakis. He is in Sterling off 7, just past Fairfax Pkwy (accross from the Shoppers Food Whse). He was great, so was his staff. I have a 2 year old that is usually glued to hip and she was very happy to sit in the chair and let them look at her teeth. The staff let me sit with her in the chair and made all of us very comfortable. We had mid morning appointments and they were running on time which was a pleasant surprise for a doctor's office. At the end they get a balloon and goody bags with stickers and stuff to make brushing their teeth fun. I would recommend him to anyone.

My kids just went on a tour of Pediatric Dentistry of Reston ###-###-#### and they loved it. The staff was so warm and welcoming.
We have a great pediatric dentist but he's in Sterling...just up the road from you. He's very friendly and great with my son, he's 5 and has been going since he was 3 1/2. He's just past the Dranesville and Rt 7 intersection. Dr. Emmanuel Skordalakis. Don't let the name scare you. He's young and speaks great English.

I adore our dentist... she's a family practice dentist and all three of my kids love her. She is Dr. Carlene Marcus. Her office is off Sunset Hills, on Michael Faraday. This is east of Plaza America (where Champps and Michaels are), and across from SkateQuest. Her number is ###-###-####.
She helped us before we were even patients, when my son (then 2 1/2 yrs) banged his mouth on a bed railing and jammed his tooth up into him gum. Her emergency # on the ans. machine at her office was her home number. I called her at 7:30 a.m. on a Sunday, having never met her, and she calmed me down, asked me questions, and said she'd meet me at her office in 45 mins!
I trust her completely! My son is 9 now. Dr. Marcus said he'll need braces (not related to the accident when he was little), but she won't even recommend an orthodontist until he's older. She believes many orthos are putting braces on kids too early. Many times, because the kids are still growing, they need to get braces a second time because the teeth shift. She doesn't want her patients to go through that pain and cost, when there is no reason not to wait.
Angie is the receptionist. She's wonderful too! Always greets us by name and knows us well enough to joke with us.
By the way, Dr. Marcus is my and my husband's dentist too. One stop shopping! In fact, the three kids and I are all going in for check ups in a couple of weeks. It's nice to get it all done in one appointment.

We LOVE Little Pearls Dentistry in Lansdowne. Dr. Mike and his staff are so great. Dr. Mike even calls himself about appointments and follow up! If you go, tell him Henry D. sent you! My little guy is 2 1/2 and he's been twice so far and loves it.

I would highly recommend Dr's Terniksy (turn-nis-key) their number is ###-###-####. They have an office in Reston right by the library and one in McLean. They are in the Reston office Tuesday and Thursday's.
I have a wonderful dentist who I use and also does pediatric dentistry as well. The office is warm and very kid friendly and she is the BEST dentist I have ever had. It is a husband and wife team - Drs Falbo and Thomas in Centreville. My daughter is 1 but as soona s she needs to go I will be bringing my daughter to her!

My kids LOVE Dr. Heidi Herbst in Sterling. They actually get excited when I tell them they have a dentist appt! LOL! They like the video games in the waiting room and the children's TV programs they watch while getting their teeth cleaned. The staff is wonderful, and Dr. Herbst is very knowledgeable and gentle. The office is located off Rt. 7 just past Cascades Pkwy (if you're traveling west on 7).
