Hi! I just moved to the area from Cali, and I was looking for a nice park with a tot playground for my 20 month old daughter since she loves them.

There's a very nice playground with a fenced in toddler area behind the Gaithersburg City Hall on Summit Ave. There's also a little amphitheater right next to the post office where they have kids' concerts every Mon. and Thurs. morning in the summer, You can make a great morning of it!

Try the King Farm neighborhood park (Matty Stepanek Park is the official name;) The Falls Grove playground by the Thomas Farm Community Center; and the Germantown Adventure park. Welcome to the area...lots of great parks to check out!

There's the Mattie J. T. Stepanek park in Rockville, Maryland on the corner of Gaither and Picard. It is a really great park for tots. It's just off exit 8. I actually live in Germantown, but we go down to that park on occasion just for fun. In the summer I would recommend Cabin John park. It is further away, but in the summer it is a lot cooler because of all the shade. There is also a neat little train ride (just bring cash. I think it is $1.50 per ticket).
