Seeking Ob Gyn

I love my OB/GYN, it is Dr. Schumacher. He and his staff are wonderful!
Dr. Netuschil (sp?) I hear is also great, but she doesn't deliver babies.

i saw dr. najima at sierra womens health and LOVED her!! i had both of my kids with her and reccomend her to everyone I know. Dr.Farringer in that practice is also great.

I LOVE Rafaela Hernandez! She delivered my last baby and I never want to find another doctor ever again! I am one who is not so fond of Dr. Klaich as he was my OB for my first pregnancy, but Dr. Hernandez is kind and understanding and a woman who has children!

I go to Dr. Klaich at OBGYN Associates and I cannot say enough good things. He's been my doctor since before I became pregnant with our first child and delivered all three. He is kind, caring, compassionate, smart, has a great bedside manner, etc., etc, etc. I don't know if he's accepting new patients, but his partners all have wonderful reputations as well. Dr Stacy Paul - A+++++. She was recommended to me when I first moved to Reno and she is the best! I have several friends/acquaintances that go to her and she is ALWAYS spoken with high respect.

2nd choice is Dr. Bruce Farringer. He is really good to, I just prefer a female over a male Dr.

I've had appointments with Dr. Dearmont and Dr. Najima and I personally did not care for either one. I felt Dr. Dearmont spoke down to me and Dr. Najima lectured me.

Stay away from Dr.Westfall!! Because of her negligence I lost one of my ovaries+I was about to catch cancer.Run away fast from her!
If you only need a gyn, then Dr.Pollock is reputed to be very good.Also Dr.Klose is pretty good.

Dr. Garcia is wonderful and a personal friend. Are you going to have a baby, or just woman stuff? Dr. McCaskill is wonderful also if you just need an OB.

I go to Dr. Farringer and he's quirky but great (quirky sense of humor that is). My sister also used Dr. Farringer for her second child after her first OB went into child pyschiatrics.

I didn't care for Dr. Dearmont. She checked on me the day after I gave birth and I thought she was cold and pushy.

I really like Dr. Holly Omar. She's terrific. I previously say Dr. Sherrie Hald but she was a little too rushed.

Dr Farringer at Sierra Women's Health was amazing. He didn't seem too pushy about things and very open and available to us.
Was great with me in developing a birthing plan with our daughter and wasn't too quick to rush to the idea of C-section either.
He always made me and my husband and even our son feel very comfortable when we went in too.

I can say also though, Dr. Dearmont also works out of that office as well and she delivered my son. I would NOT recommend her but thankfully, he does have a lot of partners now (Dr Farringer was a partner with my previous OB who has since retired) so chances are you'd never have to deal with her. :)

Dr.Najima is wonderful! She is so sweet caring! She has been my doctor for years and helped me thrue two miserable pregnancies! She really listens to your concerns and will do anything to make sure you and baby stay safe and healthy! If you prefer a doctor with a more short to the point kind of bed manner, there is Dr. Dearmont in the same practice. Dr. Faringer is also in that practice and he is wonderful as well! You really can't go wrong with Sierra Womens Health. I hear good things about Dr. Shoemaker, although I had an appointment to see him when I was pregnant the first time, but had to cancel because I had a miscarriage and because I canceled that appointment they would not see me again when I got pregnant the second time, despite my having a miscarriage.

Dr. Allison Westfall is merely competent. Her bedside manner is a bit on the chilly side. My real concern was with her nurse, Tori. As you know, you'll spend more time with the nurse than the doctor. She did not return my phone calls in a timely manner. Additionally, she had very poor follow through regarding my questions and pregnancy related concerns. And often had another nurse call me or refused to help me at all and told me to go to my general practicioner even though it was a pregnancy caused condition.

I have been going to Dr. Klaich at OBGYN and associates for years. He is great! As it turns out, he wasn't able to deliver either of my two kids because of timing. Dr. Westfall delivered both of my girls, and both labors were pretty much painless with no complications.

Dr.Peter Dekay is wonderful. He's located in the medical building across from St.Mary's, but he delivers at both St.Mary's and Renown. Let me know if you want his number!

i really liked dr stacey mellum with obgyn and associated. he worked with both hospitals in town.

I go to Dr. Martin Denis. I think he is wonderful. When I first saw him, he told me that he hadn't missed a birth yet. I was in labor at the same time as another one of his patients and he was going from room to room trying to make sure that he was going to be able to deliver both of our babies, and he did it with just seconds to spare!!! Good luck, I know how hard it is to find a new Dr.
