My hubby and I are considering moving are little family to the Rockwall area and would like to know about some nice upper-middle class neighborhoods that you think are worth considering. Basically, I want out of Dallas and to live somewhere that I can let me DD go out in the back yard to play without fear of her being abducted. We are hoping for a larger (about 3000sf) newer home. Suggestions? I am also interested in good schools in the area. THANKS!!!!

What can I do next?

Look at Chandlers Landing. We own a lakehouse there, but most people have their permanent homes there. I used to spend my summers there and it was great. It is gated, and on the yatch club grounds, so that is wonderful for the pool and tennis.

Chandlers Landing is a great neighborhood in Rockwall, in a great school district. Chandlers has a mix of housing prices, along with a lot of open spaces, a yacht club you can join, a guard gate, and lakefront/lakeview homes. I lived there before I married my husband, and I loved it. Good luck house hunting!

Hi! My name is T. and my husband and I just moved to Rockwall on Saturday Feb 10. We live in the "Shores". I was very nervous looking at the diffrent areas and wante to be somewhere nice, clean, close to everything, and safe for my daughter to be able to play outside. This is a beautiful development and the homes are lovely. I would strongly recommend you look in this area. If you would like anymore info feel free to call me ###-###-#### I am home all day with my daughter.

Hello! I live in Rockwall in Woodcreek...it's a new housing development off 549 and 66.....we love it! our home is about 3,000 sq ft....there are larger and smaller plans. Woodcreek is Rockwall ISD and Royse City ISD, just depends where you live in the edition.....Rockwall ISD is a really good district (you can check out the awards and such the district has been accredited w/)...my husband is also an elementary school teacher and high school coach! There aren't many "bad" areas in Rockwall....all pretty upscale, clean, nice areas!

Hi K., I am from Rockwall and we love it here. We live in the Shores. It is a great neighborhood with many things to do such as golf, tennis, swimming, and a fitness club. We moved back to Rockwall a year and a half ago from Corpus Christi and the Shores was the only neighborhood we really considered. I wanted to be on the north side of town versuses the Heath side because I felt like the people were more down to Earth, nothing against that side of town I have many friends that live over there. I also enjoy that we are not near any of the main shopping areas. We love the Shores and all of our neighbors. I have a second grader and kindergartener at Nebbie Williams and they both have had great teachers. Nebbie is an exlempary campus. I let my boys go out in the back our lot is especially nice because it backs up to people's estates that include alot of land, so it is like being in the country with no one behind us. I do let them walk half way home from school but our area is still under construction so until it is finished I pick them up half way. If you have any other questions let me know. C.
