I can't imagine what meds for Acid Reflux are messing with you. You should tell the doc any side affects and if there's no relief, maybe its something else? I have controlled my stomach acid discomfort by never lying down with any food in my stomach. No water or food 4 hours before bed (I can get away with 2 -3 hours but not unless its controlled) and eating small amounts at a time giving my stomach time to pass the food on. Any relaxation methods you can do help, too. I started yoga. Love it and have benefits way beyond my stomach. I also have had gall bladder symptoms that seemed to benefit the AR remedies, as well as taking meat out of my diet, all fats except olive oil and other mono fats like avocado. Lemon, romaine lettuce, pears and radishes for some reason helped those symptoms. I did that "cleanse" for a 2 week period and it helped a lot. I'm not bothered by spicy foods. But fat and gluten aggravate my acids the most. Pizza is guaranteed pain and bloat. Seems to take forever to digest. I believe each individual has a diet right for them, and a standard AR diet may not be targeted well to you. Consider a nutritionist (not one through an MD, a real one) to get what's right for you. Milk could be a culprit. That bothers me, too. Good luck!
