Ok Moms. I was overweight. Obese, even. Last Jan, after a talk with my doc, I decided to take charge of my body. I started watching my diet and exercising. The weight came off steadily and I felt amazing. I lost about 50 lbs between Jan and June. Just walking and doing yoga 5 times a week.
Over the summer, I maintained my weight. I cheated a little here and there. I didnt do yoga quite as regularly. But I watched the scale and kept myself in a nice 4-5 lb gain/loss area.
Now, I've totally lost all motivation. I'm craving junk again. I have no energy to do yoga. I'm a homeschooling mother of 3 with little time to myself. When the kids go to bed at 8:00, I am exhausted. Some nights I get yoga in, most nights I dont.
I'm not interested in weight watchers or going to "meetings." If I get an hour to myself, I would rather drop in to a yoga class or go for a walk.
Now that the school year for us has started, my schedule is full. I find myself making quick meals, and not taking the time to make super healthy things. Or taking the time to plan healthy meals.
The scale has been kind and I'm not gaining, but I feel like I am getting flabby b/c I'm not working out like I was. My new clothes dont look as good as they did 4-6 weeks ago.
I need help finding my enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle. HELP!
Please watch the movie/read the book "forks over knives". . Very good reminder of why it is important to eat healthy and the many benefits for others as well. I have 3 boys myself and am struggling with the final 25 pounds...some days are better than others:). Walked my first 1/2marathon in September and it was very motivating. I signed up for the Disney 1/2 marathon also (walking/running). On bad days, I remind myself that I want to be healthy so I can be around my family for a long time...I watched my father suffer through diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, sleep apnea-almost all could've been reversed with diet and lifestyle change. He died at 61, too young...hope you find the motivation you need, I ll be following this post closely too!

Congrats in your sucess! The main suggestion I have is the night before, packing multiple tupperwares full of healthy snacks, and even your lunch. I have been doing this for the past few months and have had a lot less cravings for junk and have lost weight. I pack fresh veggies, fruit and a salad each night for the next day. I freeze water bottles and pack at least 2 before I leave in the morning--I also have a super busy life with kids in school etc. So...hope this helps. Also, keep the faith! Borrow your motivation until you find yours again. It will come. GL

I also liked the movie, Forks over Knives, as well as SuperSize Me.
Are you on some good supplements? I am a personal trainer and wellness educator. If you would like me to look over some of you food logs and recommend supplements, I would be happy to do so.
Just think about how happy your success so far has made you! Don't let it slip away!
Good luck and God bless.

check out this website: its a diet suppliment and a multivitamin/mineral. You can get both or each separately. Not only do I take it and have lost weight and feel so much better, but I am making a LOT of money as well: http://www.GBGisIT.com I'm an insurance agent also but make more money at this. So not only is it a great product, its a great business opportunity. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!
