My daughter had otoplasty last summer which was successful but still has a small scab on the back of one ear that won't seem to heal. Not having a lot of luck finding answers from doctors on what to do about this.Would love to hear from anyone who's child has had this procedure done and what their results were.
Sorry, I don't have advice, but I'm interested in whatever you find out. I've wondered whether anyone does that, and how it's done and how much the procedure is. My four-year-old has never noticed it herself (and I've never brought it up) but her ears do look very Alfalfa-like. Could you tell me a little about what you had done, and what her ears were like before the procedure?
My son had otoplasty approx 2 yrs ago. He will be 16 this July. We are very happy with the results, but it does appear that he still has some cartlige that is knotty on the back of one of his ears. My son Just had this done. He too has tiny ilver scars behind his ears. I am very happy with the result, and my doctor said that there will always be scars. THe idea is for the surgeon to attempt to put them in a fold or along the head so that they aren't as noticable. Who was your surgeon?
Have you tried applying vitamin E oil?
