Hi K., I have no personal experience but my friend has had a second child through IVF. She did try a few times but her second little girl was born a few months ago. Best wishes, Grandma Mary
Hi-
I was wondering if their were any Moms who had IVF for a 2nd child and was successful. I had my son by IVF, but since then I tried IVF twice and was not successful. I spoke to a few people and the same thing happened to them. I was planning to do another IVF cycle, but I was just wondering if anyone else had this same experience.
Thanks
Hi-
I wanted to Thank everyone who responded to my post. I feel more at ease with each response. I'm grateful to all who shared their experience with me.

i had my daughter thru ivf also she is now 11 months,i am planning on trying a 2nd time by the end of this year.I think every day the clock is ticking and the body respond differently to the medication, some people have been trying so many times and still no chance of having at least one baby.I wish you all the best and remember that every one has their own path, keep trying i know it is a very stressfull and intense experience but enjoy your little one for the time beeing and no matter what if the creator of all creatures decide that you will have another baby by all mean you will.Good luck.LOL
I have not yet had success with a second child through IVF. I too have tried twice since my first child and hope to try again this year.
Hi K.,
I did IVF with my first son and I'm now pregnant with my second (IVF) son. I know it can be a stressful time. Try not to think about what happened with other people. Each of you are different. Good luck Mama!
Hi K.- It is different for everyone, but my sis in law and bro had a second w/ IVF. It took them 3 times w/ their first and only once for the second. Try not to get stressed, that really affects your results. I had IUI twice w/my first and my second happened naturally. So you never know! Good luck!
My first child wsa conceived via artifical insemination and my second was conceived via IVF. I would imagine that every case is unique regarding why IVF is needed, etc. So even poling here will not get you all the answers. If you have confidence in your doctor, he/she would be the person to talk to regarding your chances and options. Best wishes to you! P.S. child number 3 was an unassisted, unexpected, Irish twin surprise!
Hi K.,
Both of my little girls were conceived via IVF. Like previous posts - everyone is different. With my youngest I think it would have been sooner if I had changed Dr's sooner. I did 2 cycles with a Dr that didn't change protocols and wasn't going to if I went for a 3rd attempt. These were also frozen cycles. We then switched RE's and got pregnant on our first fresh cycle.
It's a long hard process, as all of us that have gone through it is aware. But well worth it :)
Best of luck to you!
Hi K.,
My girlfriend has two beautiful children, both of whom were conceived through IVF. We have a son, another IVF baby (on our second attempt) and are hoping to have another. Right now we're trying IUI as our insurance won't cover another IVF procedure.
Keep your hopes up! Wishing you and your family all the best,
K.
I already have 2 IVF babies and did so using one cycle each w/ ICSI. Wishing nature would have stepped in and fertility treatments were not necessary, but I appreciate what the lab and God blessed us with!
