Two excellent resources for reduced-price medical care are the Mark Dogoli, MD Medical Center and the Community After-Hours Medical Clinic at Florida Hospital. They operate at the same facility at 2604 N. Orange Ave. in Orlando, but at different times.
The Dogoli center is open Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Community clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.
At the Dogoli center, free medical services include primary care, management of chronic conditions, lifestyle/nutrition education and general health education, health screenings, physical exams and preventative care, referrals for social services, and referrals for specialty care. For subsidized diagnostic screenings, charges are typically under $20. When available, medications are provided free of charge. At the Community clinic, fees average $20 and include the doctor’s visit and prescription medication. The following services are not offered by the clinic: routine physicals, prenatal care, chronic pain management, HIV testing or treatment, sexually transmitted disease screening, contraception management, mental health or psychiatric issues, and seizure disorders.
