Seeking Mom's Group in or near Penfield, NY

Hi T., I am a 32 year old mom of an 8 month old boy, Evan. I have been going (off and on) to a play group/moms support group at Birth Matters (www.birthmattersny.org), located at 236 W. Commercial St. in East Rochester. There is no fee. It's a great place to meet other moms and relax with your baby.

There are currently 2 groups going: I have gone to the one at 10am on Fridays, and there's another one on Wednesday afternoons (not sure what time). You can call Birth Matters at ###-###-#### to get more info. You and Terrence would be very welcome to join!

I was in the same boat about 6 years ago and joined the Penfield MOMS Club chapter (you can get the contact info at www.momsclub.org). It was a great way to meet people in the area who also had young children. There is also MOPS. There are other groups, too, but off the top of my head I don't know what they are. There is a great local website called Kids Out and About (www.kidsoutandabout.com) and I think they may have a listing of some local groups there on their site. Good luck!

I too am looking for moms groups. I recently found http://www.rochestermommies.com/ they have lots of events on their calendar. I haven't gone to any yet (I just found the group this week!), but it's worth looking into. Hope this helps! And maybe we'll be meeting soon!

Hi T.! I am a stay at home mom in Fairport. I was looking into groups as well and I know there is a group in this area for stay at home moms. I just typed stay at home moms in fairport, ny into google and the group popped up. I havent made contact yet, but I am thinking about looking into it.
