There are so many! Depends on what exactly you're looking for..let me know more details if you have time. The birthcenters I recommend are Puget Sound Birth Center and Seattle Home Maternity. They both also offer home birth services but that way you have both as an option.
If you want a home birth with someone who can transfer you to a hospital call Sally Avenson ARNP CNM or Cynthia Brown CNM. If you're looking for a Christian midwife try Suzanne Thomson LM. For other home birth options or with some privileges at the birth centers, you can also call Geraldine Lee and Beth Coyote at Rainy City Midwifery.
I know that gives you a lot of options, but they all have websites, just google the names. There you can see pictures, read bios, philosophies, and testimonials. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about these referrals, so glad you're pursuing a natural birthing experience!
My first child was delivered at Swedish and I didn't really like it there. Swedish Ballard is better, and a lot of people like Group Health Hospital. My OB at Swedish was Karen Judge, and she was great, I just didn't like the hospital. I loved Providence Everett however, but that may be too far. My OB at the Everett Clinic in Mill Creek was Laurent Nicolov and he was fantastic!!
