You might try ____@____.com. I work in a grooming shop so I get most of the web sights from the customers or the vets. I hope you find one. If I hear of one I will send an e-mail to you.
I have a wonderful husband and father of our 6 amazing daughters whom recently suffered the death of his only male companion (son...a boxer named, MacAllister) and I am requesting assistance on where can I find another boxer to cheer him up. We visited the HSPCA earlier this week and there were no boxers in as of yet. We are hopeful of locating a shelter that is less expensive than $100. This was his dream dog since childhood so my girls and I are trying to surprise him. A male or female boxer is okay. Please help if you can.
Thank you to everyone who responded! Our daughters are so amazed...they are counting each response as they continue to come in. We are still grieving, but have made plans next week to visit the Lone Star Rescue as well as petfinder.com and craigslist. So, again thank you all!

you might check the local craigslist. I found my husbands dog (female bloodhound there for $50). A lot of the animals are rescue dogs.
Check out www.lonestarboxerrescue.com. They have plenty of Boxers that need loving homes! I am not sure what their adoption fees are though. We are partial to Boxers too! Wonderful dogs!
Try Lonestar Boxer Rescue. We got our Drake from there and he's been great. Second time with boxer. He too is my husband's only "son". We have two wonderful girls that get along great with him. There are some adoption fees and you have to fill out an application and undergo a home visit but it is well worth it. Drake was a year and a half and housetrained so it worked out beautifully.
Try the boxer rescue group. I think they are located in Humble. If you google boxers fo sale in Houston it should come up. We too have a boxer and he is the best dog we have ever had!! Good luck in your search!
I am so sorry to hear of your husband's loss. I have two boxers (both females) and I can't imagine not having them. I would recommend checking the Lonestar Boxer Rescue website (http://www.lonestarboxerrescue.com/). This is a place where you can find boxers at multiple age groups that have been mistreated or left behind. Good luck on finding the perfect companion for your husband!
There was a lady on mamasource here in Houston area just last week seeking a good home for a (female?) boxer that she'd taken on from her sister to foster when she'd moved away. I don't know if there is a way to search these questions for her or not??? Check it out!
Go to www.petfinder.com. I have a friend that found two great dogs this way.
Elaine,
You can go to www.petfinders.com and put in your specific stuff ( ie: location, type of dog, etc) and you will find the boxer rescue groups in your area.....I only know this because we are in the process of adopting a new dog and I have been searching petfinders....we really want to get a dog that truly needs a loving home. Hope this helps! J.
Dear E.,
I was at the SPCA a couple weeks back and a rescue group came in and picked a boxer up. I don't know who the group was but you might call the SPCA and ask them for the numbers of rescue groups that come in because I am sure they contact them all. I have used petfinder to find myself a cat and dog. You may also want to check out Lone Star Boxer Rescue. I hope this helps!
Good luck!
