My daughter had lots of gas pains and I used Mylicon... it was a miracle. .3 ml is what my doctor told me to use (at 6 weeks old). Hylands teeting tablets worked great, and I've heard good things about the colic tablets too.
Has anyone ever used these tablets? I'm interested in using them for my 11 week old son who is suffering from gas pains.

My son is teething and is 7 month old. I was given advice to give him the Hyland's Teething Tablets and they have been a miracle! Using them have made the whole teething process a lot better. I would use them and see how they work for you.
Hi L.,
My first son lived on the teething tablets and they worked great. My friend with triplets told me about them as her 3 kids are 3 months apart from my first son. Also, the teething gel is wonderful. As for the colic tables I tried them on my second son at 2 months. He just cried and cried and i was out of my mind. They worked like a charm, however he started YELPING so bad at 4 months and they seem to not work as well the more I used them. I was out of my mind with the horrible screaming fits. He hits notes that were window shattering. My first son never cried unless it was for food. So its been challenging with the second baby. At his 4/5 months check up we found out he has acid reflex-heartburn which explained a lot of his outragous crying fits. He is on medication and he is night and day. My dr said if the medication doesn't work then he is acutally colic. Now that we have that taken care of that the teething will start and I will be using the hylands teething products. All their tables will melt instantly in the mouth. They are very safe as you will notice there is no child poof cap on them. Getting the crying undedr control is key. You have to be consistant with the directions with the tables I ve learned for them to work correctly. Keep in mind, if baby has been crying a lot once they get a few tables in their system they will stop. Don't be alarmed. Gas drops are great and massaging the tummy with both hands downward helps pusht the air through baby's system. Moving their legs like they are riding a bicycle too. My dr toldme about this when my son was a month old. If he is colic they don't like a lot of noise either and it makes them worse and more upset. Find a quiet place for them. It was hard on me since my older son is so active and was making a lot of noise that irritated the baby big time. Its getting better. Hang in there.
Good luck to you.
SAHM, 39 with a super funny active 3yo son and a lot of work 5 month old son who is full of smiles and bubbles.
Never used them although Dr recommended their teething tabs. I'd 2nd the gripe water, Fantastic stuff!
Hi L.,
This is pretty common these days. You have to watch the foods you eat that cause gas if you are breast feeding.
I was able to help my granddaughter balance her little body when she was several days old by giving her pimag water and putting a magnetic pad on her belly. She also slept on a magnetic pad as it helps to nuetralize the acid in the body.
When they have to much acid in their body it causes many problems.

Good luck.

I've used them, but I don't think they did much in helping my son's gas. I ended up going to an osteopathic physician when my son was 5 weeks old and she recommended supplementing with a probiotic. I think this helped more than anything else I tried (Hyland's, Mylicon, Gripe Water). I used 1/8tsp and mixed it on a large spoon with expressed milk, then I put it in on his pacifier in two doses. I think I did it twice a day for two weeks and then I tapered off to once a day. I know it doesn't sound like a common thing to use, but after reading up on it and using it (and I've just started using it daily to help with some recent tummy issues). It is harmless, but I believe it helps. If you are curious, you can go to the website of the company I use, Natren and check under Infant Probiotic. Some health food stores also carry probiotics. Hope you find some relief for your little one soon.
My daughter also had gas problems when she was an infant. I have never used those tablets, (have the teething ones) my baby's problem was what I was doing. I breastfed and whenever I had caffine that seemed to give her gas. She's almost 11 months now and she still gets gassy if I have any caffine. So if your nursing, I'd try and figure out what YOUR eating that's giving her gas. They say to watch what you eat during your pregnancy, but I say watch what you eat during nursing. Good luck.
If nothing helped call me.

These tablets work really well and are totally safe. I recommend them all the time.
go for it!!!

I used them for both my kids when they were little. and they did help a littl bit..if it is gas pains I would recommend the myclin gas drops, those work great!
Never used them for gas. I always used mylecon if it was necessary. They are great for teething.
I have not used their colic tablets however I have used many of their other tablets for my children and myself and I swear by them, I love Hylands and whats even better is my kids like to take them and don't complain when they have to take medicine. I could go on and on about their products and if you checked what I have been Mama sourcing about you would see that I have recommenced them a number of times. Good Luck!
I've never used those, and I'd be more likely to remove or stop using supplements rather than add them to a baby's diet. Sometimes colic is attributable to mother's milk, if you are nursing, including gassy foods YOU eat or allergies to mother's milk, or allergies to formula if you are using formula. Worth checking into with your son's pediatrician.
hey L.,
I've used the teething tablets for my daughter (they're the same brand) and ive been pretty satisfied with them.
My daughter had really bad gas too, nothing seemed to work well, we did use gripe water and it seemed to help alittle. Mostly lying her on her stomach across our knees and Kicking her legs like she was on a bicycle (the kicking worked awesome) Good Luck!!

It's worth a try. We used them but our son's colic continued. The only thing that seemed to help was simethcone gas drops. And ear plugs...for me, that is! I wore ear plugs when I held him because I felt calmer than when I had his full volume ringing in my ears! Sometimes taking care of Mama is the best way to help Baby.
I LOVE these tablets. They are amazing! I have found that if you are using them for gas, you have to give several doses in the 15 minute increments suggested. So I if I think my son is crying more from gas, I give him Little Tummies, but if he is overtired, overwhelmed and cannot calm down, I give him these tablets and they are what I call miracle tablets. So I think they are best to soothe a cranky baby, and work a little for mild gas. But if it is severe gas, Little Tummies works great!
L.,
I haven't used that one specifically, but I have used the brand several times for teething tablets and I love it! They are wonderful and they don't have any side effects.
Good luck!

Haven't used the colic remedy but *have* used the Sniffles-and-Sneezes tablets and THEY WORK.
Homeopathic is definitely worth trying. Let Mamasource know if the colic tablets work for your son!
You could also try gripe water for the gas. And massaging!
Homeopathy is great for babies because it's gentle.
I have used Hyland's teething tablets and I LOVED those but I haven't used the colic tablets. We used Wellements Gripe water for colic. It is all organic. www.iherb.com sells is the cheapest. The brand of gripe water really did make a difference for us. The other brands didn't work, only Wellements.
Hi - I used the Hyland's Colic Tablets from age 1 month to 3 months and they did help quite a bit. My baby was still a bit fussier during his colicy time of the day but not anywhere near as bad as before he started getting the tablets. I suggest you definately give them a try.
I have used these products for other things, not colic, and found them very helpful. Just read the directions carefully so you don't give him too much or too often. Take care, C.
