I heard it was playing at the Audiorium theater in downtown Chicago.

I know that it is at the Auditorium theater, but also at the College of DuPage McAninich Arts Center. I believe there is also one at the Tivoli in Downers Grove that is geared towards children...possibly not as long and very kids friedly. We had wanted to take our daughter too (although, it may not happen this year), so these were some of our options. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas!
We saw the Joffrey production at the Auditorium theater - really lovely!
