Hi there - I'm looking to send my 1 y.o. and 3 y.o. to swim lessons for water survival skills but have only found reviews of such lessons in the Tampa or Valrico area. Does anyone have any to recommend in the Clearwater area?

What can I do next?

Hi,

I took both of my daughters to SEAL in Tarpon Springs. As everyone else here has said, they are FANTASTIC! My first daughter, at age 5, could swim but would not put her face in the water. I put her into their group lesson (less expensive than private) and they were very gentle yet firm and by the end of the 4 weeks, she was loving the water and getting her face wet!! My youngest took a private lesson when she was almost 2 and has been swimming like a fish ever since! It is totally worth the investment to get your children swimming comfortably! We live in Florida...even if you don't have a pool...someone else definitely does! Best of luck to you.

I have always taken my daughter to Countryside Country Club for lessons, so I highly recommend them.

J.,
There are 2 women that give swimming lessons out of their home in Palm Harbor and they are excellent!!! They tend to get booked. A friend of mine took her children to Seal and liked them much better. Her sons are 1 and 3 and both of them can swim to the steps and come up for air. Ms. Marcy ###-###-####. Good Luck!

I took my son to this last year and it was an awesome experience, but expensive. His teacher moved to the Netherlands, so I have no personal experience with Rebecca. GREAT Swimming program!!

Seal Swim School in Tarpon Springs is supposed to be WONDERFUL! They have a new session starting in September. If I can afford it, I am going to sign my daughter up.
