Hey, J.. Congrats on being a Godmommy. That's great. I just had my son's Communion in April and I was stupmed on a center piece, so we went with a small plant. I went to home depot and bought a plant that I new would last, wasn't going to be to much on the table and they were only $2 each. I gave 1 to each household, not each person. The restaurant lined them up right down the table and they looked awesome. I went to a local florist and purchased 10 small pieces of blue foil to wrap around the bottom of the plant. It really did look great. I never told anyone they were "take home" until the end. We took my son's picture ourselves, had 10 made up (SOOO cheap), bought really nice silver frames in Walmart (2 for $3), wrapped them in tissue paper, put it in a nice gift bag (thick inexpensive ones at Michaels and all sizes) and gave that and the plant along w/ home made chocolate peanut caramel clusters (only do this if you have plenty of time and patience - my daughter will probably not have that at her's - lol). So inexpensive and a HUGE hit. It may have cost $5-$6 per household. Not bad if you ask me. People are still talking about it. I love it.
Good luck and God Bless the baby!!!
