We go to the little gym and I know they do birthday parties there but if you aren't a member it probably does cost more. But there is the whole playroom where kids can hang from bars and crawl and jump and dance. We did the 1st bday at my house only because not many people, mainly family. Good Luck and it will all work out.

Chick-Fil-A threw my daughter a really nice birthday party. It was inexpensive and covenient, the staff was wonderful. I thrown many parties, as my 3 kids are all winter babies, this by far was the most practical of them all. The price was like $5 a child with food, drink, party bag, and access the play center for 1 1/2 hours. Good luck!

An inflatable jumping place like The Jumping Bean in Midtown or Monkey Joe's (several locations) could be a good idea. Some people think 1 is too young for those places, but my son has loved them since before he was 1. You can check to see which ones have toddler only areas, special birthday areas, etc. I know The Jumping Bean does good birthday parties. Also, The Children's Museum downtown does good birthday parties with separate rooms and a time to play there. And -never forget good 'ol McDonalds. You can go to one with a play place and the kids can play and you can have the party right there. The Aquarium also has birthday parties and so does the Zoo, but I think they're pricey. You could check into them though.

Tracie where do you live? In Cobb County there are a few community centers that are very reasonable to rent Mt. View is one. Also if any of your friends live in a neighborhood with a clubhouse you can usually rent it through them. Good luck.

Check out the Vinings School of Art... www.viningschoolofart.com in IVY WALK at Atlanta Road and Cumberland Boulevard. I just recently checked it out and it is the coolest place that I have been. The other cool place is little gym. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful 1st birthday celebration. God Bless and wishing you many more to come.
