I HIGHLY recommend Craig Smith. He's been a close friend for 25 years and everyone I've referred to him has been completely satisified. He works alone but has one man that works with him when the job requires two people. He's done everything in my house from electrical, plumbing, overhead garage door repair to laminate flooring. He's remodeled basements single handed and I'm told he does quality work. His prices are competative/reasonable and I'm sure you'll be satisified too. A friend of ours does general contracting. Our house is over 80 years old and he completely remodeled our bathroom and kitchen (both were torn down to the studs). He has high standards - is very cognizant of how well things are done, both in how they look and their durability. Plus, there are usually a few ways to go on projects (the cheap way and the expensive way) and he can tell you the difference (for example, if you go with material A it will last X amount of years, material B will last longer but is more expensive). So he works with you on that.
His schedule is flexible, I think. We have twin 3-year olds and he was sensitive to their nap times, etc. as well.
