I've been using Teena West at Salon Emberlyn for 2 and 1/2 years now. I love her! She is very friendly, and she is wonderful. She has a picture of a head drawn on a paper, and she will write down everything she does for you. That way, when you come in the next time, and neither of you remember what she did or what colors may have been used, it's all written down. I love that because I've gone into other places saying "I want what you did last time," and they just don't remember because they have so many customers. She's located on Antwerp road in Hurst off of 26. She's also great if you've got curly or wavy hair. My sister is right in your area! She used to work in a salon until she had her baby, she now stays home with him, goes to school, and we have a business together. But she loves doing hair so she continued doing that, without having to be at a salon all day! What's so great is she'll come to you, or you to her, so her hours are really flexible. Not sure about your budget but if you're looking for inexpensive I would try the Duvall Hair School in Bedford. The girls there are great and really know their stuff.
My sister Natalie does an excellent job and she is at Hair Flair on Blue Mound RD I believe the # is ###-###-####. She is really good and there shop is very affordable. I highly reccommend her. She does my whole family's hair and most of our friends too. She is open Sun & Mon as well when the shop is closed so its nice b/c its not crowded or anything..thats when I take my 3yr old so it there wont be nay distractions. Well Good Luck!
I've been trying to find a new place as well in the same area. I received a coupon to My Destiny Salon at Beach and Basswood, in the new shopping center. A girl named Beth did my hair and I loved it. It was the first time in a long time that I've received many compliments on my color and cut.
