WomanCare on Rand in Arlington Heights is fantastic! All of the doctors are great - Albion, Dominicis, Goldin, Kahan, and the other lady. The ultrasound Kathy is a sweetheart too! ###-###-####
Congrats and good luck!
I recently found out that I was pregnant with my first child, and since I haven't told anyone but my husband yet I'm in desperate need of help finding an amazing doctor in the Buffalo Grove area, or the northwest suburb area for that matter.I don't want to just open the yellow pages and pick out a random name, I want a doctor that some of you "already mommy's" had a great experience with, and someone who will walk me through the whole process since it's my first time.
Thanks in advance!

Ob-gyne of lake forest. All of the doctors are GREAT!
I have been going to Dr. Dori Becker of Northshore Womens Health. They have an office in Long Grove and Highland Park. There are three other Drs. in the group and I have had great experiences with all of them. Good Luck and congrats!
Dr. Kathryn Ray of Comprehensive Women's Center in Wheeling and Hoffman Estates. She is very nice and a great Dr.
Hello, My OB is the greatest, his name is Dr. Lamar Tyler. I have been with him for over 16yrs and he delivered my last son who is 6yrs old. Dr. Tyler is very informative and personal. My husband went to every prenatal appointment I had and he thought he was great. Dr. Lamaar Tyler is with NorthShore University Health Systems. His offices are located at the following;

Dr. Randall Kahan at WomanCare in Arlington Heights. I've been through one miscarriage and two healthy pregnancies with the wonderful doctors at that practice. Another plus is that NorthWest Community Hospital has a fantastic, brand new maternity ward!

Good Luck!
I am originally from that area and I highly recommend Dr. Dan Pesavento out of Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He delivered my first 2 children and was wonderful! Good luck!
I've gone to Womens health first in buffalo grove for several years, including my two high risk pregnancies. All the doctors are great. And I love the nurses, ultra sound tech and office staff. This past pregnancy I was going twice a week and they were rarely ever late. They also have evening and weekend hours and several other offices in the area.
Congrats!! I use Northwest Woman's Consultants in Arlington Heights. They are located in the medical offices by Northwest Community Hospital. I love all the doctors there and they delivered all three of my babies!! I also live in Buffalo Grove. Once you have the baby if you are looking for daycare, feel free to send me a message. I have providing childcare in my home for almost 10 years.
I highly recommend Dr. M. Susan Scanlon of Comprhensive Women's Center with locations in Wheeling (on Lake Cook Road) and Hoffman Estates (on Barrington Rd).
She delivered my first child. She also has seen other family members for gyne issues. She is very skilled, personable and highly regarded by her peers. I have also been impressed with her partners Drs. Farhi and Ray. I don't think you could go wrong with this practice.
On staff at St. Alexius and Northwest Community Hospital.

First, you need to figure out what you want in a birth and what you don't want. Then talk to some people who had the birth you want. Then interview 2-3 doctors/midwives to find who you gel with.
Also, if you can find a group of women to talk to (La Leche League meetings, prenatal yoga class, etc...) go and talk to them about their experiences, good and bad. I didn't realize until I was 28 weeks along that I was headed for totally the wrong birth experience in the hospital I had chosen based on one woman's suggestion of a Nurse Practitioner before I was pregnant. It's never too late to switch, but it's nice to be with someone you like from the beginning and not realize as you take a hospital tour or talk over your birth plan that you need to find a new care provider.
Read "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth" and then ask around again. Congrats and Good Luck!!!
I had our first last year and so it was all new experience for me, too. One thing in retrospect you want to know is where you'd like to have your baby. I didn't know about this and just ended up going with my friend's OBGYN who delivers at Lake Forest. We loved the hospital! Ask around what their experience was like with the hospital, too. That way you can go with the dr who delivers at the the hospital you want.
