Seeking Good Veterinarian, as Well as a Dog Groomer in or near Irving

I would recommend Story Road Animal...Dr Peterman is absolutely wonderful. I took my baby dog there from the time she was six weekes until she passed last year. They were great at helping get through a tough time when my Maddie went to doggie Heaven (13 years old). Their rates are very reasonable...I also continued with them even after I moved to Lewisville. The other doctor is Dr Inmon he is also very good. You won't be disappointed...there is also a grooming right next door. IF you go to Dr Peterman tell him S. (Maddie's mommy) said hi!

Dr. Chakin at Animal Hospital of Valley Ranch is very good. He also has a very good groomer named Lynn in his office. I have two poodles and he has taken care of them for over 10 yrs and Lynn does a fantastic job grooming. She charges about $ 45.00 per poodle, so I am guessing a Cocker would be about the same price. Dr. Chakin is very nice and professional.

I'm not sure about the vet, but I have used a wonderful groomer on Story:

They are awesome, and their prices match those of the large chain stores.

Do not know about a groomer but a good vet is Dr. B(his name is very long) at 183 Animal Hospital. He is in Irving at 183 and MacArthur. They might be able to recommend a good groomer.

I have used the Animal Hospital of Valley Ranch for my dog and cat for a few years. They have a groomer there on site - she may not be taking new animals, but it's worth a try!

There is an office at Story on Shady Grove, on the south side of the street and a little west of Story. I don't remember the vets name off the top of my head but he took care of all three pets I had growing up and think he was wonderful.

I've also heard good things about the VCA place on the south side of 183 between MacArthur and O'Conner. My fiance took his dog there for a long time. They're just past the Wells Fargo building, in the same parking lot with Crystal's Pizza and Office Max.

As far as a dog groomer, my neighbor uses one and I'll have to get the information from her.

I use a lady named Chris who works at the Shady Grove Animal Hospital (Shady Grove & Story Rd). She has always done a great job. You have to plan ahead and make an appointment because she is good. There is a groom shop behind Story Road Animal Hospital called The Groom Shop and I know the owner there. I know people who use them and are pleased. I have used Chris for so long that I just haven't used the other one; but The Groom Shop is good too. I have a business card, just need to find it. (A lady named Bambi is the owner...I grew up with her cousins).

This girl does a wonderful job grooming. The shop is located on the west service road of I 35 at around Cooper (?? or is it Cosby, something that starts with a C lol) I believe (just south of Beltline). It's just a one-woman show, but she really likes the dogs and doesn't keep them all day.

Story Road animal clinic is wonderful! And there is a groomer next door in the same building. They have been in business forEVER! The vets there are great - in fact, one of them has been our vet since my first dog when I was in kindergarten! I also worked for them while I was doing my pre-vet undergrad. They are good honest people with very reasonable rates. I've moved north but my family still uses them. They are located on Story Road on the East side of the street and I believe the cross road is Pioneer if I remember correctly. It's really worth checking into! Hope this helps!
