I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation of a good Pediatrician near the Crystal area. I'm not too thrilled with my daughter's current Pediatricans office and am wondering if somebody had someone they really like and would recommend.

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for their advice. I went to a prenatal visit at the Partners in Pediatric office in Maple Grove and switched to their office. I also received a call from the woman in charge of medical records at our former pediatrician's office and she asked if this was going to be a permanent change. I was able to inform her of why I was leaving their office and she appreciated the information so they could provide better care. I'm expecting our second child the beginning of December so this was a good time to make a switch.

I love Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. They also have offices in Plymouth and Brooklyn Park if those are closer. When my daughter was born, I just started taking her to different doctors. We landed on Dr. Bach. He's very good with her and always takes time to answer questions. They have a website at pipstop.com.

We don't have a Pediatrician for both of my kids but we go to a Family Doctor and we absolutely love him. The clinic is Northwest Family Physicians-Crystal (it's right across the street from Target in the shopping center with the post office and Old Country Buffet) and it's Dr. Christian Daleiden. He's fairly young (mid 30s) and he is great with kids and listens to any concerns we have and is always willing to answer questions.

I really like our pediatrician, located in Fridley, which isn't too far from the Crystal area, especially given all the freeways between the two suburbs.
It's Fridley Childrens and Teens Medical Center, located right next to Unity Hospital in the Unity Profesional Building on Osborne Road in Fridley. We usually see Dr. Jill Funk. I think she's fabulous! There are several peds. there, all of whom have been wonderful with our two young boys. Phone number ###-###-####. They even have a walk-in time on weekends and holidays, which is perfect for those inconvenient fevers and ear infections that seem to pop up after business hours!
Good luck! Hope this might help you in finding a new pediatrician!

I also take my kids to Fridley Children's & Teenager's Medical Clinic. We have seen Dr. Funk a few times and she is great. Our regular doctor is Dr. Sakkal. My boys love him and he always takes the time to listen to any concerns I have. My first child was a preemie so I was very anxious about his health and Dr. Sakkal did a great job caring for him.

We go to Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove and LOVE it! All of the doctors we have seen have been wonderful. The one we see the most (and request for my 1-year-old) is Dr. Cindy Howe.

Hi D.-
I too have a home based bus- but I also work in the med. field too. We use partners in pediatrics- they have about 3 offices out your way. We use Greg Savitt- he's super and doesn't overtreat kids. We knew him from his residency and he's been our families ped. - most of our families- extended- kids are under 10yo. He's great with kids and mid- 40's if that matters to you. Check them out- main office number is Plymouth ###-###-#### but Robbinsdale has an office ###-###-####.
Good luck

Hi D.,

We go to Park Nicollet in St. Louis Park which isn't too far of a drive for you. We see Dr. Mueller and like him. He's cautious of medicating (which we prefer) and has a pretty good demeanor with the kids. He's easy to talk to as well.

Good luck!

Like Charity said, Partners in Peds is great. Dr Howe saw my first born, but was booked up when my second came along so I started taking them to Dr Cantor. He is wonderful! I always request him. He remembers everything about our family and takes the time to ask about each of us whenever we go in. He only sees patients at the Brooklyn Park and Uptown offices though. Northwest family physicians is good too. That's where my mom took us as kids, but I loved the Drs. at PIP and have stuck with that.
