Seeking Good Pediatrician - Nederland,TX

My daughter is going to be 6 months old at the end of the month, and I need to find a new pediatrician for her 6 month shots. I really liked who we had from birth to now, but she has since moved to Houston. I live in Nederland and would love to find one here in mid-county. I guess I could go to Beaumont, but closer would be much more convenient. I also want to make sure I get one that doesn't usually have a very long wait time. Having a young, nursing baby makes 3 hour waiting rooms very stressful. I would appreciate any imnput! Thank you!

I just changed Peds because I was unhappy with Dr. Braye, he was not up to par on breastfeeding. I changed to Dr. Roesler in BMT, he came highly recommended. I decided to switch after Dr. Braye instructed me to start cereal at 2 mos... I recommend you stay clear of him.

I use Dr. Marian Cordovez-Tan. I really like her and so do my kids. She is behind Target in a new strip/business center and her number is ###-###-####. She has a nurse practioner that works with her as well so there is no long waits and you can always get your questions answered quickly. She has a nautical themed office and exam rooms that the kids just love too. Best of luck to you in your search!

Dr Edward Braye ###-###-#### Regional Pediatrics in Nederland right by central mall. He is the only doctor who will give you his pager number when you need him. I think he is a great doctor. He sings to my children and he really gives a thourough exam and plays with the girls. My oldest was prone to febrile seizures when she was younger and he gave me his pager number in case she had another one so I didn't have to go through the hospital. He has even offered to go to his office and see my daughter if her fever didn't go down on his day off. Good luck in finding one. I suggest you do not use Aiken or McMann. I didn't like them.

I use Dr. Sales in Beaumont. She is wonderful!! Down to earth, personable, easy to talk to and relate to. You will love her. Her practice is called Kidz 1st Pediatrics and they are in the Health and Wellness center building. Her # is 899-kidz. Hope that helps!

I also use Dr. Roesler at Beaumont Pediatric on College. He is amazing, the office is really great for kids, and my daughter (15 months) seems to tolerate him well-and that's saying a lot for her! : )
I'd at least give him a try!!
Plus, the office has a policy that if you wait longer than 10 minutes, let them know! I've never been in the waiting room longer than 5 minutes though!
