There are many different places that you can try. I would recommend any pediatrician that is in link with cookchildren's network.

I have taken my 3 kids to a great pediatrician since moving to DFW in '98. Her name is Sharon Weiner, and her # is ###-###-####. Her office is on MacArthur in Irving, just north of Northgate. The building is between a hotel (Holiday Inn Express, I think) and the Irving High School Academy.
If you end up choosing Dr. Weiner, please tell her L. Diaz recommended her to you.

I too have just moved here but from the Austin area. Our pediatrician is also 5 hours away but before we left our pediatrician recomended Dr Tom Grubb. We have not been to see him yet but I have the highest regard for any one that our previous pediatrician recomends. I am also not sure what area he is in but atleast this can give you a start.

It looks like someone else already mentioned the Medical Clinic of North Texas at I-20 and Matlock. My daughter goes to Dr. Gibson-Hull, but all three doctors in the practice are great. Nice office and very prompt appointments.

Any of the Pediatricians at Medical Clinic of North TX. Fikkert, Gibson Hull and Myers. The hospital is located at 1-20 and Matlock. It is easy to get in, I almost ALWAYS get my doctor (Fikkert), but all the other docs are great. Myers was the doc on call when my second son was born. Both my boys love going to the doctor, even the shots don't scare them away. I can't say enough about this practice. ###-###-#### is the office number. Good luck!

I live in South Arlington and I highly recommend Richard Chiarello in North Arlington. He is in the Fielder Road/Sanford Street area. It is about 1-2 miles south of I-30 on Fielder. He is in a practice by himself so you unless you go on Thursday, when the visiting doctor is there, you know you are going to see him. My daughter is 12-1/2 and we have been using him since she was born. Cannot think of a reason why I wouldn't recommend him.

I second Dr. Leon, Dr. Hayes, and Dr. Don Pham. We have been with them for 5 years now, and are very happy! :)

M. I would recommend Dr. Diane Rasmussen in Arlington, at 950 N. Davis. It is a pediatric group. She is an incredible doctor. She has been my daughters doctor since she was born and she will be 18 this year so I had to get her a family doctor now and I miss Dr. Diane.

I take my daughter to Dr. Mary Askari-Brown in Irving. The Practice has two locations one in Irving and one in Grapevine. There are two other doctors there Dr. Dickey and Dr. Tran. All the Nurse pratitioners are awesome as well. . My daughter has been seen by all. Here is their website

We changed from a pediatrician to a family practice in Irving 6 years ago when our youngest was a year old and are so happy with our doctor. Her name is Stephanie Elmore and she is great. She really listens to you as a parent and intelligent person and will work alongside you as the parents. She will not force vaccinations, but will suggest an alternate schedule if you so desire.

Also, she has GREAT Physician's Assistants, who we are very comfortable with. In fact, we generally see them for regular visits and only see Dr. Elmore for yearly exams.

Dr. Clive Daniels is in the Arlington area. Phone number 817-453- KIDS. Someone is always available to help. My daughter also turns one on Wednesday and has gone to Dr. Daniels from the start. He and his staff have been fantastic with just general concerns and a few crises over the past 12 months.

I have lived in North Arlington for 7 years and happen to have a great friend who is a nurse practitioner in a great pediatric office. The doctor's name is Dr. Diane Rasmussen. The geographic area you specified is pretty broad. I know many at our church use Dr. Earl Hampton in Arlington and are very pleased with him.

We live in Bedford and use Dr Bruce Martin with Cooks. He is located, along with several other Drs, in a Hurst office. I'd also recommend Dr Nash. My daughter was ill one weekend when Dr Martin was not on call and Dr Nash treated her. Morrow is three and loves both Drs as well as nurse practitioner Dianne who is in the same office.

My kids go to Dr. Walter Leon, Dr. Hayes, and Dr. Don Pham in Arlington. Dr. Leon is the actual Dr for them on forms and stuff but Hayes and Don Pham share the office. We see one of the 3 whenever we go in. They all are great and the staff is very good with the kids. My girls and I love Dr. Hayes very good with them. She also actually listens when I have a problem and helps to try and fix it. I have only seen Don Pham and Leon a couple of times but they were also great and I have a 1 yr old and soon to be 3 yr old. They love looking at the large (huge) fish tank, turtle and frogs and playing with the toys in the office. They are at 3120 Matlock Rd. ###-###-#### Hope this helps.

I second Dr. Desiree Harris in Arlington. Dr. W. Raines is also in the same office, my daughter has seen him on occasion and he seems to be just as great!
