Hi We're new to Austin and trying to find a good dermatologist for my husband. He has had skin issues for a few years now and we can't seem to ever find a good doctor. Anyone out there had good luck finding a good derm in the Austin area? We live in South West Austin but are willing to travel if needed. THANKS EVERYONE

I like Dr Houston on Frontier Rd (West Gate & Ben White). I have had 2 basil cell carcinomas removed, one in the center of my forehead. You can't even tell unless I point it out and you look closely. Good luck.
I too live in SW Austin but travel to Spicewood Springs & Mopac to see my dermatologist. Dr. Dale Schaefer, ph # ###-###-####. I have been seeing him for over 7 years for various skin issues.
We love Dr. Jacqueline Dano. She is close to Seton Hospital off 38th street. I've used her for over 20 years!!! She is having twins soon so I'm not sure if she is taking new clients but I'd try. It seems a lot of people use her and she has an A+ reputation. Good luck
