My DS turned 1 last week and my parents want to have professional photos taken of him as his birthday present. My husband has a keen eye for photography, being an animator, so we want someone who has a "gift" and is a natural with the camera and taking candid shots. Why not let your hubby take it! What a great memory it would be and I'm sure that your husband would have a blast. Picking your props and change of clothing is fun. Make sure your precious one has had a nap and is well fed. Even if you are taking him to a professional. Also, remember time is not on your side for a 1 year old and for the photographers time is precious when on a schedule. A photo setting is about 2o to 30 minutes not counting the time you will be the place. Which is about another 1 hr or 2. Once you see all that the photographer has taken you will come out with more than you need. Experienced mother of 4 and an x -Picture People Photographer.

I have an 8-week old daughter and I used Felle Photography for the maternity and newborn photos. They are primarily black and white, although she uses tints/color in some of the photos as well. My husband and I were thrilled with the pictures - they are absolutely beautiful and we plan to use her again for future sessions. (She's also a lot of fun to work with - very friendly.)
