I they helped me through 3 years of infertility
My OB GYN recently quit working so I am looking for a new doctor. I am 4 weeks pregnant so I need someone who will take new patients and see me relatively quickly. Last year I has two miscarriages due to low progesterone so I need a doctor who wil be responsive and see me often. Any suggestions would be great!

I had two doctors, both in the Long Beach area, during my pregnancy with my son. My initial OB, Dr. Stanley Olenick, is wonderful! He's very attentive and took a lot of time to explain everything and really encouraged questions. When I was 30 weeks though, Dr. Olenick had to have his hip replaced so another Dr. took over seeing all of Dr. Olenicks patients. It was awesome because he came to Dr. Olenick's office and saw us in our comfortable environment. His name is Dr. Michael Cogan (not to be confused with Dr. Seth Kogan, who is also an OB and infertility specialist). Dr. Cogan ultimately delivered Jack for us. I would highly reccomend both of them. i don't have their cards on my but I'm sure you can find them on Superpages :)
Hope it helps and good luck with your pregnancy!
Hello
I would recomend doctor Seif in Downey he is a great OBGYN and specializes in infertility.
562/904-6031.
Give him a try!
Hi M.,
My OB/GYN is Dr. Helena Humphrey, and she is associated with the La Palma office of Healthcare Partners. She's a great doctor and saw me through my first pregnancy. Their offices are located at the intersection of Walker and La Palma. Hope this helps.
M.,
CONGRATULATIONS!! My OB/GYN was Dr. Grey and he is fantastic. I am a mother of four and I have switched medical insurance to just stay with him. I am also in the Long Beach area, but Dr. Grey is in Whittier. Ths means you would be deilivering in Whittier Presbyterian Hospital - the facility is amazing!!Here's the info: Bright Medical Group ###-###-####. Good luck.
think about a midwife, she'll give you good care. S.
I have also experienced miscarriages due to low progesterone. If you are a memeber of Kaiser, his name is Dr. Cliffard Marshall. He specializes in high risk pregnancies and is wonderful! He was my doctor for my last two pregnancies...which I wouldn't have been able to carry to full term without him. He is located in Harbor City, but it is worth the drive to have him as your doctor.
I don't know about his availability, but if he's not available, I'm sure one of the other fine doctors in his practice is. Dr. Dennis Noesen is a kind OB, and has some knowledge of endocrinology so he may be sensitive to your biochemistry. He has privledges at Long Beach Memorial.
If you have Kaiser Dr. McCabe is great and I forget the other Dr.'s name that took care of me when Dr. McCabe was on Vacation. But she had short blonde cruly hair and was about
mid-40's. She was really get and took a lot of time with me.
PCH by the circle
Good Luck!
I once doula-ed for a gal at Long Beach Memorial who had a great OB. Her name was Dr. Reddy.
I love Dr. Rebecca Schwartz and Dr. Laurie Endo is also wonderful. The number is ###-###-####.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Mackovic & her staff! She has offices in Lakewood, Long Beach & San Pedro. She is warm, caring, professional - just a wonderful doctor. I had many problems with my 2nd pregnancy & she was just a phone call away, always made time for me. The staff is very friendly, too. Check out her website:

Also, I use a natural progesterone cream for hormone balance. I rub it in every night before I go to bed. This has helped immensley with post-pardum symptoms. My friend had to take progesterone by suppository to prevent miscarriage because she didn't know about the creams. This cream contains bio-identical hormones, not sythetic, no animal products or by-products. Let me know if you would like more information about it. -M.
I know this is out of the way but I have an awesome OB/GYN. I HIGHLY recommend him!!! I also had low progesterone levels with my 2nd baby and this doctor was on top of it with early ultrasounds, blood tests, & pprogesterone medicine. Everything was fine with my baby. His name is Charles Moniak. He has an office in Fountain Valley & Newport Beach. He delivers at Fountain Valley hospital, however Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach is WAY better and worth the drive!!! You even have ocean view rooms during labor and even in the recovery rooms. Lets just say it is like a vacation, NOT a dreaded hospital stay. Well thats why we had baby #3 so quickly, anotehr vacation- hee hee. Here is his info:

Do you have Kaiser Permanente? If yes, I have a wonderful OB GYN for you. Please let me know and I'll give you her name. I trust her with all my heart. BTW, she's in Long Beach, on 3900 PCH.
Waiting to hearing from you. May you get who you need to see you through a successful pregnancy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

If you have a La Leche League branch near you, they have all kinds of support and advice. Becky
Dr Carrie Rickard came with the highest praises from my former Ob/Gyn - Brenda Jacobs, when she stopped handling obstetrics last year. Dr Rickard's office is extremely friendly and personable and if you google her, you'll find many postings on other sites with positive feedback. They were very prompt in scheduling me with my pregnancy last Fall and very thorough. ###-###-####
