I am looking for any recommendations for a full time preschool. Most the schools I have seen are only part time. Anyone have any suggestions?

try Creative Frontiers for Learning in Citrus Heights.###-###-####

they can do a full day program for 2 and up. 2 year olds need to be potty trained (yes, accidents happen, but no diapers at school). Pull-ups may be an option. I started my older girl there at 3.5. i have kept her there and for kindertarten.

ChildTime on Pleasant Grove and Foothills... my son's gone there for 1 year (he's only 15 months old) and I've been very pleased with the staff/programs at this site. It would be worth it to take a look at their preschool and see if it's a fit. :)

I would contact Placer County office of Education. Or just whatever county you're in call the office of education. They were the most helpful resource to me when I was trying to find a daycare for my 6 month old.
The office asked me lots of questions to narrow my field search and e-mailed me a list of providers to call all within an hour!
Good luck and take care!

Hi S.,

If you're anywhere near the Roseville area, American Montessori Academy is fantastic. They offer preschool through first grade. They'll take kids as young as 2.5 but they do need to be potty trained (accidents happen, so don't worry about that). My daughter started there at 3.5 and is wrapping up first grade now (4 years!). It's an incredible school and the teachers are fantastic. They have an active Parent Team that sponsors a lot of activities and helps to really create a family atmosphere. The kids all know each other and the parents all know each other. The wonderful thing is that when you enroll your child, they stay with the same teacher (and friends) for their entire time at the school (however many years you choose to keep them there). But if you find that the classroom you start out in just isn't a good fit, you can switch to a different one. AMA offers before school & after school care as well (6:30 am - 6:30 pm). It can be pricey but it's well worth it. If they offered classes beyond 1st grade, I know many parents would keep their kids there even longer.
Good luck with your search!

Both my sons are attending Whispering Oak Montessori. The facility is in a great location. All the teachers are wonderful and they pay detailed attention to the children. The facility and yard are in excellent, safe & very secure! My oldest one loves playing on all of the great play equipment they have for the kids and brought home the cutest artistic creations. The facility exposes to kids to all kinds of different activities my children were never bored. My son is exposed to science here and he still go in our backyard and make his own science experiments. I am so thankful I found Whispering Oak when I did and feel very fortunate that my children had the experience there.

It is worth checking out. They are affordable and siblings get 10% discount. I think they have openings still. Call ###-###-####. Hope the info helps. Good Luck! This is their website-www.whisperingoakmontessori.com

My children go to an in-home daycare that has a preschool program. My son is 3 1/2 and has been going there since he was 4 months old. It is much less expensive than the warehouse daycare centers like Kindercare and Childtime.

S.,
Try some of the churches around town. If you are in sacramento, Capitol Christian probably has one, and I know Trinity definetly does. But most wont take a child until she is fully potty trained. There is also another one on Fair Oaks and Twin Oaks. (I think) They were both full time when we went to them, and non denominational.

GOOD LUCK

S.:

Have you checked into the Merryhill program? My daughter attended the one on Eastern. She was really well prepared academically for Kindergarten. She was even able to speak and count to 100 in Spanish by the time she left.

The negatives are that they are a little pricey and pretty structured. My daughter does well with rountine, but I could see that being a challenge for some children.

I've heard some of their locations aren't as good as others, so you might consider that while you're looking. They have open houses periodically and they allowed us a "trial" day which was helpful.

Good luck and God Bless!

I think what you are looking for is more of a child care center like Child Time(a great place from what I have heard). Most preschools don't take children till they are 3 and potty trained. I hope you find a good fit.
