I am a soon to be divorced mom and am seeking advice on the best treatment for wrinkles.
I have not used any skin care on my face until recently, and the result is lots of wrinkles! I want to find out the best way to treat or cover the wrinkles I already have.
I want to improve the way I feel about my looks. Having these ugly wrinkles is really affecting my confidence. Any honest advice will be truly appreciated.

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone who responded. I really appreciate all advice given. I am still considering all my options. I am currently using Clinique skin care treatment, but am considering a microdermabrasion treatment too.

I just started researching ths problem myself. I have found several programs of facial exercises. I bought a book today "Shed 10 Years in 10 Weeks" by Julian Whitaker. I have briefly looked through it and it does sound very interesting. I'm going to try it. It does have some of the facial exercises in it. Google "facial exercises" and you will get a lot of info. Let me know what you think.

botox! it's great...love it!! i go to Dr. Peter Malouf on Hulen in Ft. Worth. He's a wonderful dermatologist! You will love the results and it lasts about 6 months. sort of pricey, but well worth it!
good luck!

First...you didn't get your wrinkles overnight and you aren't going to get rid of them overnight with magic cream!

Start drinking more water....stop drinking diet soda, stop smoking (if you smoke) and stop exposing your face in the sun...you'll be surprised how much this will help.

Next, depending on what kind of skin you have will determine what kind of skincare you should use. Don't go out and get bamboozled into buying an entire line of expensive skincare. Any really great skin care will give you samples and will let you try it first. Go to Neimans/Nordstroms and get a free facial ...they will gladly give you a facial because they want to sell you their line. Ask for a bunch of samples and buy maybe one item first. Try it and if you like the results, buy something else in that line. If you don't like the results, return it and get something from another line (that's the nice thing about Nordstrom/Neimans because they will allow you return anything for any reason even if you've used some of it). Also, remember, any skincare will take at least 2 weeks before you start really seeing results. personally, my favorite lines are sisley, darphin and natura bisse (sisley my absolute favorite). But you need to find what's right for you. it's pretty expensive, but you really can't replace your face. it's an investment in you......also, I'd recommend holding off on the botox for awhile....it's very expensive and these other things might do the trick. good luck with your new life and new you!

You have to apply home remedies to remove it.

A homemade mask to protect your skin from wrinkles and fine lines combines two teaspoons of carrot juice and ½ teaspoon of honey. Mix the ingredients well, and then apply to your face. Leave on for 20 minutes, and then wash off with water.

I use Clinique and have used it since I was about 10. My 13 yr old daughter also uses it. You don't have to buy all the products. I don't use the toner. I use the repair wear series eye creme, day and night creme.

I am 46 and easily pass for early to mid 30's. Water and suncreen are best friends. I do not smoke. I go through my skin care routine every morning and night....no skipping allowed....no matter how late I am up at night.

I know there are great products out there and you will get a lot of responses from the mlm's. A good department store can also give you lots of products to try to see what is best for you.

Good luck!
Susan

Water and sunscreen are your best friends. Drink lots of water to help your skin and use sunscreen. Of course, sleep does wonders too and I bet you've been stressed out, which isn't helpful either.

As far as age and sun damage, microdermabrasion is a good way to help you skin look better fast, and of course good skin care.

I use BeautiControl because I love it and sell it to my friends. I'd be happy to treat you to a BC facial, if you're not too far from Flower Mound. You get to try to product for free and you do it yourself so you know how to use it. You could even do 1 microdermabrasion treatment.

Let me know, I'm happy to help.

I sent you a private message with some information about Arbonne International. Arbonne is a Swiss Health & Wellness company that focuses on your health with many personal care/nutrition products. All of which can help with wrinkles!! Most people think I'm about 10 years younger than I am!! That's a pretty good testimony for the products!
Hope you'll contact me.

Hi P.,
Sounds like you've received lots of good advice already! I like the Mary Kay line. It is not as expensive as department stores and there is a 100% money back guarantee on every single product they sell! They have microdermabrasion, time wise cleanser and moisturizer, and really so much it can overwhelm you. They can give you samples of the products for you to try first as well. You can try before you buy! I suggest the miracle set to start with. I know there are thousands of consultants in your area. Just look up marykay.com and you can find a consultant. I've used Mary Kay for 25 years and I just love it. I am 43 and have no wrinkles! My two younger sisters do not use it and they both look years older than me! That is their fault - not mine. Anyway, good luck!

Well I can tell you that the lack of sleep and the overhaul of STRESS in a divorce only Produces the little guys!
I noticed when I used the TimeWise kit from Mary Kay I had AWESOME results! I used it during my divorce when I sold the stuff and quit when I stopped selling and used up my inventory. I tried the Arbonne kit for $250 and it was not effective at all! Just my opinion.
