I'm expecting my first child in about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm looking for unique but not too expensive baby announcements. I would love your feedback!
Thanks!
Thank you everyone for the great responses! I used to make handmade cards for a living and was going to make our baby announcements but not sure if I will have the time so I thought I should do a little research. I didn't realize Sam's Club did announcements so I may look into that too since we shop there all the time!
Thanks again!

So I'm totally late on this request but...
Take a baby announcement anysize and use it as a template. When you're little princess/prince comes- take an adorable picture and scrapbook around it. Then? Go to our friends at kinkos- and have them copy it on their special glossy paper. It'll look amazing with the 3-D accents, and you'll have done it all yourself, (but only once.) :)
Good luck, and congrats! :)

We ar epicture freaks in this house so we developed the first roll in the 1st week (ok like 4 days) after each of the boys were born. Then I picked my favorite and had Sam's Club do them. You can get 100 printed out for I think $25. And they can be done really quick!! They do a great jo and have a few different designs. We liked it because it was cost effective and wonderfully done.
We did ours through Shutterfly (www.shutterfly.com) and were VERY happy with them. I also have a friend who does gorgeous custom ones, but they are more expensive than the Shutterfly ones. Here's her website: http://www.katherinejakobs.com/
I've always used www.naptimecards.com. They have some unique designs and do quality work.
I made my own announcements by buying card stock paper at Michaels & printing a baby picture on velum (sp?) then using a paper puncher and affixing the velum to the cardstock with a bow. It was really quite easy and looked very professional. Best part was I saved a TON of money this way and really enjoyed making them myself.
Good Luck!
I've used www.purplestork.com and www.metrobabycards.com for baby announcements, baptism invites and stationary and they both did a great job and are very easy to work with.
My friend creates the most wonderful cards! I keep telling her that she should go into business some day. If interested I can give you her number or email address. She also does scrapbooks as well. She gave me one has a shower gift and it was the best thing ever. Since I'm not very creative all I have to do is plug in the pictures because she did the rest.
