Hi there! I am looking to find someone (age 17+) who can pick up my kids after school and take them home so they can have some down time and some time to play together. Does anyone have any recommendations as to some of the best ways to find nannies/sitters? I don't want to post on Craigslist...
We used care.com and found a great babysitter! We had to pay for the website to check the background checks etc. but then canceled after we found someone.
I'm not sure why you don't want to post on Craigslist. I posted on Craigslist a couple years ago when I needed an afterschool nanny, and got quite a few great responses. Ended up with 3 really good candidates that we interviewed (first over the phone, and then in person), one of which we ended up hiring. Easy, and free! We also have KSL.com here in UT, but I posted there, and got nothing! No responses. They all came from CL.
I would post on the job board of a nearby college/university.
