Hi Ladies,
I am looking to purchase a stroller for my three and one year old. I have gone down the road of purchasing really bulky infant strollers and want to avoid as much bulkiness as it is possible. My daughter (3yr) can stand, but I would prefer if there is an option for her to sit (for those long trips). I am also concerned about fitting on the mall ailes. So far, I have had outings with my hubby or family. So while they hold my daughter's hand, I push the stroller. But, my son is already 1, and I need to get out and about with both of them alone. All of your advice is much appreciated!

What can I do next?

I have the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Deluxe. My son is 3 1/2 and my daughter is 16 months and they are both very comfortable in it. It starts as two seats, but converts to a sit and stand when the older one is ready to be done sitting in a stroller seat. It is also really easy to close. It is bulky though.

Joovy caboose is good. I'm planning on the phil and ted for my 2 1/2 yr old and newborn.

HI C.. I have a 3 year old (32) and 11 month old(25lbs) and they both love our Phil and Teds E3 buggy with 2nd seat. it's single wide, so no over sized struggles here. It has big wheels and a swivel in front and it maneuvers amazingly. It's quite expensive though, but so worth every penny. When shopping for the Phil and Teds our second favorite stroller was the Joovy caboose. It sat baby comfortably in front and had a stand or seat option in the back for bigger kids. It wasn't as expensive and looked like a great one. We got so many recommendations for both the Phil and teds, and the Joovy. Hope that helps..good luck!

The Phil & Teds is the best double out there because it can be a single or a double, it has an detachable back seat. I use it with my 4 yr old and 7 month old. I love it but it has limited cargo space and it is pricey

I got the Joovy Ultralight (only22lbs.) and love it ! It's the sit and stand . So the older child can sit or stand and get on and off easy . I have a 1 and 4 1/2 year old and it has worked great for us !! Good luck ! :-)

Our first double stroller was the Graco Duo Glider. It worked good but it was heavy and bulky and we didn't think we could take it on an airplane. We replaced it with the Joovy Caboose which has a platform on the back that allows the older child to sit, stand or kneel. At that time my kids were about 7 mos and 2 1/2 and the Joovy worked okay for about 6 months until my older child got heavier and it became hard to turn. The other problem with the Joovy is that it wasn't very comfortable for my older child since it was just a platform. We ended up going back to the duo glide and to this day I use it for trip to Disneyland and my kids are now 3 and 5. It turns great and has a lot of storage underneath. Hope this helps.

Hi C., I have a 3 yr old and an almost 2 yr old. I research strollers like crazy when I was searching for dual strollers and I made sure I tried them out (with kids in the stroller) before purchasing. The one I settled on was the Combi Counterpart, because I have not found a perfect duel stroller yet.

Positives are: it's compact, light weight (enough for me to lift into the back of a SUV), and can fit through mall ailes.

Negatives: it does not turn on a dime, but for the price, it's not bad, and the one cup holder broke off.

Last weekend, we took the kids to Disneyland and tried out the stroller, it was great because my daughter was able to sleep in the back while my son sat in the front. Also, I was able to weave it in and out of the crowd. Good luck!
